If you don't know what the Director of Global Sales is supposed to do, then you're almost certainly not the right person for the job. That said, different companies structure things in different ways. At Eleven, the Director of Global Sales will be responsible for:
1. Working directly with ownership and senior management to set aggressive annual sales goals with specific rate and occupancy targets.
2. Personally owning the resulting sales goals.
3. Identifying, cultivating, and directly selling to a deep pipeline of UHNW clientele around the world.
4. Effectively training and managing an international sales team and channel managers.
5. Identifying, building and managing new distribution channels.
6. Developing relationships with influential advisors and agencies that focus on UHNW travel.
7. Constantly conceiving and testing new ideas to accelerate sales growth.
8. Maintaining a keen understanding of the competition by market and dynamically managing price.
9. Coordinating closely with Product Development to ensure all market needs are met and anticipated.
10. Working hand in glove with Marketing to ensure the message is being properly delivered.
11. Understanding how to speak to UHNW people and ensuring the sales team know the same.
12. We are looking for someone that has sales experience in the luxury hospitality industry.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Eleven is not big on stuffy resumes. There are some logical minimal requirements for the job, but the truth is that if you can convince us you would be extremely successful, we don't care what your past experience and qualifications are. So, what are the things we want to know?
1. Can you sell? Do you love selling? Are you manically obsessed with it while never being annoying?
2. Can you build and lead high performing teams?
3. Do you know smart techniques for revenue management? Do you like using data for the same?
4. Are you comfortable with technology and can you use it to drive margin across complicated products?
5. Do you have excellent financial management skills?
6. If you don't have incredible time management skills you should stop reading now....
7. Can you read, write, speak, and engage respectfully with anyone?
8. Are you convincing? Are you sincere?
9. Can you solve problems quickly and adapt on the go?
10. You need to have the highest levels of integrity, loyalty and work ethic.
11. Do you believe that in any given situation where one is needed, the best decision is the right decision, the second-best decision is the wrong decision, and the worst decision is not to make one?
WORK REQUIREMENTS:
1. Expectation and ability to work long hours.
2. Expectation and ability work on a computer/desk for extended periods of time.
3. Passion for and ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
4. Sales experience in the hospitality would be preferred.
