A typical branch office has one financial advisor who meets with clients face-to-face and one branch office administrator who enhances the team`s ability to build deep relationships with clientsHeadquarters associates in stLouis and tempe provide support and expertise to help u.sAnd canada branch teams deliver an ideal client experienceEdward jones currently has more branch offices than any other financial services firm, and we continue to grow to meet the needs of long-term individual investorsThe ca7-autosys systems administrator will administer, maintain, and support the batch scheduling administration tools, ca7 and autosys workload automation and other batch scheduling related productsResponsibilities include maintaining optimum performance of the tools, providing support for upgrades, new releases, and business continuance efforts, evaluating and driving efforts to implement new features, functions and automation, providing miscellaneous support for users and the technology organizationThe ideal candidate will have strong experience with ca7 administration.
Administer batch scheduling products ca7 and autosys workload automation
Support and maintain ca7 and autosys software, cross-platform communication, batch programs, scripts and other related products and components of the batch scheduling software or team-owned jobs
Create, modify, and maintain interfaces, security, and performance
Experience with ca7 and autosys an application developer or batch job scheduler a plus.
Application support issues involving ca7 and autosys and related products
Research and resolve ca7 and autosys related issues in all environments
Provide general troubleshooting and 24x7 on call support for ca7, autosys, and related products
Provide escalation support for batch job scheduling team
Assist batch job schedulers, application programmers, and the technology division with ca7 and autosys issues in all environments including job design, performance tuning, and problem resolution
Maintain ca7 and autosys systems administration
Setup and maintain processes for users, groups, and security policies
Support cross platform communication, batch jobs, scripts, and generate system reports
Evaluate and drive efforts to implement new features, functions, and automation of batch schedulers and associated processes
Identify and evaluate strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems; coordinate solutions to problems; develop or revise system configurations
Identify opportunities and implement automated solutions to avoid future problems and promote continuous improvement
Support testing of software upgrades and disaster recovery plans as it relates to ca7 and autosys and other related products
Assist system support team with problem management and change management activities related to updates and upgrades
Maintain knowledge of system programmer standards to ensure compliance
Coordinate the testing and deployment with associated software upgrades
Create, review, update validation plans and test sets for products, software upgrades and disaster recovery events
Maintain and provide technical support documentation for ca7, autosys and other team products and processes
Support application development work by creating and maintaining procedures for use during application deployments; and creating and expanding application environments during development.
Provide technical assistance to programmers and operations personnel for all problems and testing.
Ensure compliance with security standards and policies and make recommendations for updates as needed.
Self-manage to effectively utilize time management to plan, schedule and prioritize own work and multi-task effectively.
Perform related work as necessary or assigned.
Bachelor’s degree and or equivalent work experience
5+ or more years of experience in a large-scale distributed data center operation
At least 2+ years working as a ca7 administrator
Knowledge of jcl, mvs/esa operating system, tso/ispf, cics and related products
Ability to work in a team environment and/or as an individual contributor
Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
3+ years of experience with batch scheduling software administration, ca7 and autosys
Experience with linux and windows operating system
Ability to perform entry-level programming and shell scripting
Knowledge of unix and database concepts
Knowledge of systems administration, computer hardware and software configuration and troubleshooting, operating systems and applications, computer programming and architecture of scripting languages
