What you’ll do:
As the channel manager, you will be responsible for driving sales opportunities with current edge delta channel partners as well as identifying, recruiting and onboarding new partnersYou will assess opportunities, develop account plans, contract negotiations, partner sales account management and drive repeatable revenue with each partnerThis position creates strategic plans and partnerships with the goal of furthering the company mission, delivering creative solutions, and driving resultsAdditionally, the position incorporates field selling motions with the edge delta sales teamThe successful channel manager will leverage and partner with the sales team on field activity, account planning, new account development and/or expanding existing accounts through the channel.
Responsibilities:
Identify and develop revenue generating opportunities with reseller and referral partners
Evaluate emerging partnership opportunities and, where applicable, develop and implement go to market plans and joint value propositions
Create sales pipeline with partners
Identify and recruit additional partners
Off-board non performing partners
Maintain forecast/pipeline in salesforce of partner opportunities and partner qualified leads
Train partner sales teams on value of edge delta
Create hands-on partner education, training, sales enablement, and joint marketing programs in conjunction with marketing
Expand your contacts within partners organizations
Be highly involved in business planning; interact with executives to develop plans, determine resource requirements, and make decisions that will influence long-term technical and business strategies
Establish and maintain alliance partner relationships to further business initiatives and achieve matrixed objectives
Facilitate partner quarterly business reviews
Stay up-to-date on the latest industry news and best practices; attend applicable training and learn new tools as needed
Who you are:
5 years minimum related experience in business development, sales, product management, systems engineering, and/or other related roles in it.
2 years minimum of channel management experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Observability industry knowledge preferred
Utilizes expert interpersonal skills to gain and maintain influence and inspire others within the operational function(s) internally and with stakeholders, customers, and others externally
Expert knowledge of business best practices and creating/implementing strategies
Expert ability to develop and deliver presentations to executives, employees, customers, and partners, and others
Expert ability to create and develop joint gtm activities
Expert technical written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively listen to customer needs and communicate technically to various stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge
Ability to clearly articulate issues and concerns to management and support
