Job position: graphic designer reporting to: director of creative + brand marketing type: hybrid in-office (3 days per week at hq in downtown austin) + remote about us evo entertainment group® is an austin based out-of-home entertainment operator comprised of a number of innovative brands including evo entertainment, evo cinemas, evo concerts and showbiz cinemasEvo has built a reputation as one of the fastest growing cinema-circuits in the nation, and a true leader in the experiential-entertainment spaceSince its start in 2014, evo has grown from one location in central texas to 17 locations nationwide - with more on the wayEvo is proud to employ over 1,000 team members and entertain millions of guests annuallyHere at evo, we strive to be ahead of the curve, to consistently raise the bar and set new standards when it comes to providing our guests with the best possible entertainment experienceOur mission is to push boundaries, set standards, and most importantly to have fun! job description we are seeking a creative, industrious & passionate graphic designer to join our rapidly growing entertainment organizationThis individual will bring best-in-class marketing to life for the evo entertainment group portfolio of brands including evo entertainment, evo cinemas, evo live and showbiz cinemasIf you have an eye for design and want to be able to impact brands, create assets across all channel types, and are energized by working in a startup culture where you can help define the visual language of multiple brands, then we should talk! responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Creates custom graphics and artwork in adobe photoshop, illustrator and indesign based on marketing strategies and briefs across all channels, including but not limited to, digital banners, websites, social content, out of home, print, and promotional items
Applies current brand standards and visual communications guidelines to all assets to ensure brand integrity is always maintained
Assists in the development of the marketing toolkit, design templates, and brand style guides
Builds and presents design decks from creative concepts to final toolkits
Assists with art direction at photo and video shoots
Constantly elevate and innovate on evo’s design approach
Acts as a brand steward ensuring a cohesive guest experience across all creative touch points
Stays up to date with the latest trends and best practices in graphic design and creative thinking
Skills + abilities included but not limited to:
Skilled knowledge of adobe indesign, photoshop, illustrator, and acrobat and ideally after effects
A portfolio of work that showcases a variety of design skills
Knowledge of specs/requirements across different platforms
Highly skilled in layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, and image manipulation
Experience working within a creative process and executing a media plan
Thorough understanding of production best practices for print and digital
Strong grasp of the creative process and understanding of how to take a marketing brief and turn it into compelling creative
Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Solid presentation skills that clearly communicate concepts, ideas
Flexible, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities with a positive outlook
Enjoys working independently and in a collaborative team environment
Comfortable receiving and providing constructive feedback
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Thrives in ambiguous, never-been-done before atmospheres
Proficient in microsoft office including outlook, word, excel, and powerpoint
Basic knowledge of html animation is a plus
Education + experience:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience doing graphic design for a brand, either in-house or on the agency-side
Bachelor’s degree in design, art or related field or experience
