Overview: esri and the science of where podcast features business and technology leaders across industries discussing digital transformation and location intelligenceAs an accomplished podcast producer, you will work directly with internal and external subject matter experts to create stories that explain complex topics in interesting, applicable waysFor this role, you must enjoy programming, storytelling, and editing in a way that motivates prospects and customers to engage deeply with the esri brandImpeccable communication skills are important as you will be interacting with customers and advocating internally and externally for the programYou should also have an interest in technology, geography, geographic information systems, and be genuinely drawn to the value of geospatial technology as a tool to impact our worldOur content team works across multiple distribution channels, but this role will allow you to focus on developing audio content for our podcast channelResponsibilities:
Develop and maintain pipeline of guests for the podcast
Collaborate with colleagues within content department and across esri organization
Work with guest and team to develop themes and topics for each episode
Develop program flow and set of questions for each episode
Act as executive producer during each episode recording, responsible for program flow, cadence, and follow up questions
Work with technical director to edit each episode
Develop and maintain process to promote each podcast episode
Develop and maintain process to grow the podcast channel through organic and paid means
Monitor and report on metrics
Requirements:
7+ years of experience as a podcast producer and editor
Experience operating a content channel with proven editorial and storytelling skills
Demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling content for digital channels
Strong interest and/or experience with maps, gis, and it
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Fast and insightful research skills with enthusiasm for web metrics that gauge content performance
Demonstrated creativity skills
Bachelor’s or higher in communications, journalism, marketing, or english
Recommended qualifications:
