Full job description
We are looking for a community engagement and fundraising intern that is passionate about promoting women empowerment and finding women that need help in their professional development to join our team (fully remotely)You will gain hands on experience on a growing nonprofit organization's management and daily operations, including how to recruit, solicit, and steward donors.
Outside of the experience that you will gain from exposure to the nonprofit, you will engage in high-impact 1:1 mentorship, custom learning, and opportunities to impact network and build your dream.
As community engagement and fundraising intern, you will be reporting directly to the executive directorHere are your responsibilities:
Connect with businesses and individuals to raise funds for our scholarship funds and other programs
Identify, research and compile leads for potential funding sources
Research potential corporate and major donor fundraising sources
Develop and lead a strategic donor focused marketing campaign designed to increase recurring donation
Connect with college students, women in vulnerable communities and women in general, inviting them to our membership program
Oversee membership growth and scholarship applications
Recruit members from all over the world – north america and africa specifically
Develop and lead a strategic membership marketing campaign designed to increase member engagement and revenue
Assist in the development and implementation of promotional campaigns designed to increase growth in membership and revenue
Create a personal fundraising campaign and meet targets
Create, compile, and maintain solicitation attachment materials
Design and direct sponsor and donor recognition and appreciation programs
Engage in community & corporate outreach
Maintain a positive donor culture
Perform all other duties as required or assigned
8-12 hours a week
Currently in college (preferred)
Living close to auburn, al (preferred)
Interested in a career in nonprofit, women advocacy, social work (preferred)
Ability to multitask and happy be a resource advocate for women
Comfortable with seeking donations and talking with donors
Criteria for applying:
Maintains a personal, active relationship with jesus christ and is a consistent witness for jesus christ.
Missions or ministry experience is preferred
Candidates should recognize that dream mentorship is a faith-based organization and agree that they will do nothing as an intern of dream mentorship to undermine its religious mission.
