As an integral part of the us education team, the lead retail trainer will work alongside the training & development director in the development, creation, implementation, and training of modernized retail-focused education activities for key and national accounts, consistent with dermalogica and the international dermal institute business philosophy and values.
You will work regularly from the retail and event sales floor to successfully create realistic sales and event support initiatives, and train to tested best practicesYou will work closely with the national accounts sales department to ensure activities are needs-based and lead directly to increased sales revenueYou will manage all aspects of retail-based training and collaborates on service-based education.
This is a field-based position and the individual must reside in/near one of these major metropolitan areas: san francisco/pleasanton, ca; southern ca; phoenix, az; plano/dallas, tx; chicago, il.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Plans, organizes, and implements on-time delivery of information and training for all new & updated retail-focused classes, sales, and event support Develops and implements ongoing retail training programs, with support from national training manager when required Utilizes all remote learning tools to provide training directives National account-specific curriculum, with a large focus on ultaWorks with curriculum manager and national training manager to ensure on-time training for class revisions Creates student-focused, experiential training materials to support innovation & company goals: Interactive and engaging video & digital-based content, both live and pre-recorded Training videos & webinars Training handouts & guides Customized innovation material- training handouts Create demo protocols for events Identify opportunities and challenges within the account base to elevate the knowledge base of all national account professional skin therapists and retail staff Meet with national accounts at the store level to maintain relationships and plan retail education strategy Additional special projects as assigned Represents the company at national account conventions, events, consumer events, and trade shows, when required Delivers educational presentations for off-site classes, in-salon and spa training, and national accounts - at a standard that others can observe and learn Attend national account meetings (virtually and/or travel to onsite meetings) Cohost national education training events, such as our annual domestic education meeting Leads by example and displays a highly professional approach to all educational & sales support duties An integral part of the education department; works towards overall company goals and objectives
Education and/or experience:
High school diploma State board esthetics license required with 5 years recent retail experience preferred Experience working with or at ulta is highly desired! Minimum of 2 years of hands-on skincare experience preferred Knowledge and/or experience with dermalogica products and services a plus!
