Position summary:
The ecommerce web developer will be responsible for the coding, innovative design and layout of the uscca store websiteWith so many unique internal and external customers to satisfy, you’ll enjoy a wide range of exposure to different challenges that need solvingThis isn’t rinse and repeat development; we are in the trenches developing the future of the company in an environment with generous levels of autonomy.
This is a new position with primary focus on supporting our on-line storeCollaborate with cross functional teammates and take our growth in this space to new heightsBe a part of inventing new features that create customer happiness and increase our e-commerce footprintIf you are a results-driven perfectionist with a bias for action, this could be your dream job!
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain applications and webpages for our e-commerce applications.
Write clean, efficient and scalable code.
Work to continually improve our processes, tools, standards, and team.
Debug complicated issues that touch many services.
Research improvements and enhancements to be made within e-commerceResolve current application flaws affecting the uscca store guest experience.
Stay abreast of internet market trends, ecommerce methods, cross browser functionality, promotional trends and always be bringing opportunities and new ideas forward.
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong follow-through, and attention to detail.
Facilitate, collaborate and drive projects forward as you neutralize barriers for yourself and your team.
All other duties as assigned.
Required skills/experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Bachelor’s degree in information technology/business or related field is preferredIn lieu of a degree, equivalent work experience will be considered.
4+ years development experience of business or technical applications.
Experience with javascript frameworks (i.eAngular, jquery, node.js, react).
Strong front-end development experience of web-based applications using html, advanced javascript, and css/sass.
Experience with gulp, webpack, grunt, or npm.
Strong understanding of ui/ux focusing on the elegance of user interaction with `pixel perfect` attention to detail.
Familiarity with headless cms.
Good understanding of seo principles
Experience with object-oriented programming.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain cool amidst changing business priorities.
Strong independent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to meet rapid deadlines.
