Thenational non-commercial accounts senior manager (nam) – foodservice will be responsible for the management and oversight of strategic business plan execution with national non-commercial accounts, including the headquarter and sector relationshipsThe nam`s focus will be direct selling to current accounts and new acquisition targets which are in strategic alignment with del monte foodservice (dmfs) strategic focus and capabilities for national non-commercial accountsThe nam has direct account responsibility as well as select product management responsibilitiesJob functions include planning and executing against volume, distribution, pricing, merchandising, and trade spendingThe nam is the primary communication link between the accounts and del monte foods, inc(dmfi) and acts as an advocate for dmfi to ensure appropriate resources are available and communication channels are open to guarantee successful execution of dmfs programs in the field.
Role will demand an entrepreneurial approach to advancing dmfs`s business and building customer partnershipsMust be able to present and sell using financial data, consumer insights, industry trends and strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:
Account and product management
Develop and maintain strong and positive customer relationships with purchasing and top management, including culinary, r&d, marketing, menu development, operations and purchasing
Direct and monitor execution of account and product plans to achieve volume objectives and key sales priorities (distribution, pricing, rfp & bid submission, operator pull through, marketing and merchandising)
Schedule and execute product and menu ideations
Attend customer and industry conferences
Take on leadership role for project management and custom product developmentThis includes proactively delivering projects/requests with realistic lead times, influencing internal cross-functional teams and resources and completing timely updates with all those who are involved with each project
Develop an annual business plan for each key account and focused product
Identify potential new items, lost sales and manage profitability establish strong strategic customer business planning, including developing business priorities that focus on opportunities with the strongest roi
Effectively utilize/leverage dmfs crm system tool
P&l management
Manage p&ls, direct expenses and business development budgets
Manage all aspects of trade spending to ensure dmfs funds are effectively utilized in a fair and equitable manner consistent with brand promotional strategies to achieve sales objectivesMonitor post-promotional analysis on a customer basis to assess the impact of dmfs promotions and make appropriate adjustments to refine and improve results
Gain a strong understanding of customer financial needs and utilize this information to gain profitable results for both dmfs and the customer
Review sales monthly to identify opportunities that will increase profitability
Maintain contracts/pricing agreements and review expiring agreements to maintain profitability
Cross functional collaboration
Ensure linkage occurs between category management, insights, sales, and brand teams as we continue to focus on better insight activation within foodservice
Educate others, both internally and externally, about key business assessment enablers including research, tools, case studies and subject matter experts
Actively educate others (up, down, across and outside organization) by sharing best practices and insights so that our successes are executed and broadly repeated where possible
Work with regional managers as well as broker business partners on non-commercial operators in each market to identify opportunities and target listsConstruct and execute against solid business plans.

Manage trade spend and product forecasting through tpm system

Qualifications:
College degree required
5+ or more years of foodservice national account sales experience
National account strategy, plan & execution to deliver aop against account responsibilities
Sell and market branded and custom product portfolio to national chain restaurants
Responsible for identifying and managing targeted accounts for dmfs focus product offeringsSpecific responsibilities include developing a sales plan in conjunction with marketing to meet yearly aop plan for selected productsAchieve product expertise quickly and manage training and development (involving additional dmf resources as needed).
Lead national account cross-functional strategic partnerships to align and leverage merchandising, purchasing, r&d and other key functional targets leveraging a “solution based” selling approach
Clear understanding of national account selling process, leveraging product, r&d, menu & market trends to facilitate and forge strategic partnerships
Deep understanding of national account contracts and trade management
Introduce and develop new items to assist customer in achieving their overall business plan
Work closely with r&d and marketing to drive cross category, consultative partnerships at key targeted customers
Experience in working with a top tiered non-commercial account
This position will require the ability to set clear strategic direction for the dmfs business, with a bias towards action
Requires strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to keep other functional areas apprised of and engaged in the team`s initiatives
This position requires a strong leader, capable of building productive relationships with senior management, key customers, field sales and all functions
This role will also require a strong capability to collaborate cross functionally to determine how to strategically grow the business through key segments
Strong analytical, interpretive, reasoning, and negotiation skills
