We are growing and looking for our next sales account managerThis position is responsible for building a book of business through the support of marketing and networking, and partner with our internal technical resources to introduce bi solutions and processes to a variety of companies and industries.
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of inside sales experience, preferably in a technical space, a `can do` attitude, be a fast learner and a self-starter.
The sales account manager prospects for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clientsThis requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions data meaning can provide, and of data meaning’s competitorsThe sales account manager partners with upper management, marketing, and technical staff to develop pipeline of new business coming into the companyThis position must then plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the companyThe incumbent must develop a rapport with new clients, and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationshipThe position also requires the incumbent to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients.
Key responsibilities and requirements:
Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
Cold call as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
Research and build relationships with new clients.
Set up meetings between client decision makers and upper management.
Plan approaches and pitchesWork with upper management to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
Participate in pricing the solution/service.
Present reports to and consult with upper management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
Identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators, using knowledge of the market and competitors.
Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s crm tools.
Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the team.
Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.
Work with marketing staff to ensure that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled within a timely manner.
Present business development training and mentoring to business developers and other internal staff.
Understand the company’s goal and purpose, people, and capabilities
Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
Respond affirmatively and timely to any instructions or directives from upper management
Other duties as assigned.
Required knowledge, skills & abilities:
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in sales
3-5 years of sales experience
Proficiency in crm and marketing tools, including salesforce, linkedin sales navigator, microsoft office suite
Ability to network and build professional relationships
Excellent communication, presentation and persuasion skills
Experience working from home
