Crowdstrike is seeking an experienced software engineering manager to support our advance detection research teamYou will lead by example and will get your hands dirty leading day to day activities, resource planning, evaluating and deploying new solutions, technologies and products for all on the teamAs needed, you will lead troubleshooting of application, network, database, and architectural challenges using the expertise of your teamResponsibilities:
Attract, develop, and lead top technical talent to continue building our technical leadership in the industry
Design, implement, and manage enterprise infrastructure that scales with global growth including the migration to cloud services where appropriate.
Transform current solutions and services to a simplified service providing an intuitive, experience centric architecture
Develop and manage close partnership with stakeholder to deliver and maintain alignment
Development and implement alternatives to traditional compute services, improving and simplifying our ability to manage platforms, servers, and network components
Offer “infrastructure as a service” to empower r&d and our services organization to focus on product development for their customer’s needs.
Maintain a functional and strategic knowledge of current and emerging technology and product trends to anticipate new initiatives and set direction for the departmental roadmap.
Qualifications:
Experience as an engineering manager with direct reports
Are familiar with full-stack development practices, developing in containerized environments, and shipping code.
Expertise with one of the following languages – python, go or c++
Familiarity with kubernetes or other container deployment technologies (nomad, spinnaker, docker swarm, etc)
Are familiar with l ci/cd processes and supporting tool chains such as git, jenkins, artifactory, code analysis tools
Comfortable leading open-ended research-focused efforts, and developing them into a series of concrete deliverables.
Communication skills - ability to communicate and articulate crisply at all levels from executive staff to engineers.
