Flight termination and telemetry engineer, mid-career

As an fts/tlm subsystem delegate responsible systems engineer (drse), you will:
Serve as a delegate rse for flight termination system (fts) and telemetry system (tlm) design and integration into the missile flight system aur including packaging, thermal and mechanical compatibility, rf compatibility, assembly, integration & test; range approval; coordination with hypersonic glide body (hgb) design teams.
Work with certified principal engineers (cpes) and designers to direct fts component development, procurement, and test to ensure smooth integration at the system level, perform analysis, independent review, and coordination to ensure fts designs are physically and functionally compatible to satisfy all requirements
Support anomaly investigations to closure during integration and test phase
Work closely with customers and participate in design maturity reviews
Typically the candidate will possess a bachelor`s degree and 14+ years of professional experience.
Basic qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, math, physics or other related discipline or equivalent work experience
Missile or satellite flight termination and/or telemetry system design, integration, and test experience
Experience designing and integrating electrical and communication systems, and/or flight operations
Experience defining and detailing system electrical interfaces
The ability to obtain and maintain a dod secret clearance, therefore u.sCitizenship is required.
Desired skills:
Master`s degree in electrical engineering, math, physics or other related field
Experience coordinating with multiple engineering fields (mechanical, electrical, systems, flight sciences, materials, manufacturing, test, etc.)
Missile or space segment design and test experience with knowledge of missile, space and launch systems at the component through system level
Prior experience coordinating with range safety organizations
Experience within the conventional prompt strike programs or other major weapon systems
Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operations
Demonstrated understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors
Active secret clearance
