Position is remote - residency in colorado
The healthcare clinical application analyst position provides project management and coordinates patient care process design and reviews activities across the organization to ensure maximum benefits and enhancements are achievedResponsible for formatting, designing, and building relevant clinical content into appropriate workflows to provide end-users with knowledge at the point of careThis position is responsible for identifying areas at risk in coordination with the applications manager and director of it.
Licensure/certification/registrations: clinical license, registration or certification in a healthcare discipline preferred.
Education: bachelor’s degree required, bsn, bba, bs in computer science preferred.
Experience: 1-3 years experience healthcare it requiredPrior experience as an analyst or super user in a healthcare setting preferredMeditech experience and/or experience implementing electronic health records (ehr) strongly preferred.
Skills & abilities: excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain good interpersonal relationshipsAbility to effectively and efficiently manage assigned it projects and priorities within all areas of department responsibilityBasic knowledge of current primary clinical software applications used within office and clinical environments including codification (loinc, snomed-ct, icd-10)Skilled in data integration, interface and workflow knowledgeUnderstanding of it governance and processes and good knowledge of system development life cycle methodology conceptsAble to manage multiple projects efficiently while meeting appropriate timelinesMust have a working knowledge of relational databases and client server conceptsThe ability to work independently, organize time effectively and ability to coordinate appropriate resourcesSkilled in both verbal and in written communicationStrong customer-oriented people skillsProven analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skillsCommitment to quality and results.
Provide support for all clinical applications including after hour maintenance and end user support as requiredAssist users with ongoing application configuration/system management.
Establish contact and maintain ongoing relationship with the appropriate 3rd party personnel to ensure ongoing exchange of information relative to smc applications and their inter connectivity to the craig systems
Assist with ensuring adequate security measures and procedures are in place to maintain the confidentiality of the gathered data and distribution/access is only made to the appropriate, designated personnel.
Follow approved change management policies and procedures for applications and approved support and resolution procedures for database or application problems.
Ensure production clinical systems operate accurately, reliably and efficientlyResearch and analyze system performance and assist with improvement measures.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and assist in devising contingency plans.
Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution services to computer and telephone end-users.
Assist application owners in the development and delivery of application training to end-users.
Assess implementation strategies and the impact those strategies will have on workflows and operations.
Utilize analysis and design techniques, including needs assessment, specification development, and quantitative methods and planning within current/future projects.
Plan and organize day-to-day activities and short and long term projects; in-depth knowledge of organizational and project planning processes and ability to produce and maintain high quality planning documents.
Lead implementations, upgrades, and configure clinical database applications.
Perform root cause analysis and issue resolution for problems in clinical applications.
Demonstrate an ability to clearly understand user’s data needs and then identify how to best meet those needs with the application, database, and reporting resources available.
Keep current with regulatory requirements and have an understanding of it governance and processes to meet those requirements
