Position: vfx producer
Location: baton rouge (remote)
Facility: crafty apes
Crafty apes is a high-end visual effects boutique with a strong foothold in features and episodic televisionWe are hiring a vfx producer with experience in features and episodic tv formatsThe perfect candidate needs to be a dependable team player with a great attitude and able to work under pressure.
This is a full-time salaried staff position with benefitsAlthough we are working remotely, candidates do need to either reside within the state of louisiana or be willing to relocate after 90-daysRelocation assistance will be provided.
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of a show, including the initial vfx breakdowns and bids, as well as tracking bids and change orders thereafter.
Point of contact for client, including discussing project parameters, budgeting, scheduling, approvals and new project procurement.
Notify corporate accounting in advance of billing milestone dates for timely invoicing.
Track all costs and overages, making sure to stay within the budgetary constraints.
Arrange required travel with budget pre-approvals in place and calendaring all off-site resource needs per project.
Maintain and update schedule with information garnered from client communication.
Plan and schedule facility resources.
Attend all mandatory producer-related meetings.
Partner with the vfx supervisors and cg supervisors to lead the artists and support resources on each show.
Monitor all work during the post-production process to ensure that the project is delivered on time and of the highest quality.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and artists.
Maintain positive, can-do attitude under tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
Ba/bs preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a vfx producer.
Background in television or feature visual effects is preferred.
Strong computer skills, including ms office.
Demonstrated superior written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
