The director of commercial capabilities and sales training will support the covermymeds business in key sales, product launch, communication and training activitiesAlong with your team, you will get the opportunity to build and execute a plan that delivers necessary training for product and portfolio selling, business acumen and customer engagementEven more important to our long-term growth strategy is identifying and building sales and leadership capabilities needed by the segment or buIn addition to training, your team will provide strategic communications support to srLeadership and sales.
In this role you will work closely with segment stakeholders to align the plan, calendar & resources to achieve organizational strategic prioritiesWith a focus on the development of a culture of continuous improvement, this role will introduce impact measured analytics to demonstrate a scale of success of learning and development (l & d) delivery and to inform future l & d activities and demonstrate sales roi.
Key contributions will include:
Managing a team who will be focused on training, content development, communication and launch excellence.
Work with your team to develop and deliver training for our commercial sales teams (incl new hire, transfer) and other selling skills training aligned with the segment capability planManage the design, development and delivery of a range of integrated learning and development solutions.
Input & consulting with sales ops team to ensure field & marketing selling skills resources are effective & impactfulThis includes partnering to maximize impact of the emerging biopharma group, solution consulting and proposal teams.
Partnering with field teams to improve selling skillsThis will include delivery of such events as workshops, team best practice sharing, national sales conference and other necessary activities that build commercial capabilities of our full team
Coaching others on team training skills and utilizing expertise in instructional design and adult learning principlesAbility to apply judgement, creativity and flexibility to generate new and innovative ideas and approaches.
Contribute to the commercialization solutions leadership team and interface with senior level stakeholders in the commercialization services segment.
Responsible for content & delivery at major events such as fast starts, national sales meetings, selling skills events & product launchesThis includes creation of materials & approval via the copy approval process.
Subject matter expertise (via training / certification) to represent and pull through key initiatives /skills and as aligned to aa&a.
Drive collaboration and best practice sharing amongst various teams.
Deliver training in preparation for product launches & develop a certification process for products relevant to our strategic promoted productsThis training is provided to many levels of the organization from senior sales / marketing leaders to our field teamsThe breadth of training expands all levels within our commercial team.
Develop expertise in standardization, project management and business improvement skill setsIdentify and lead the delivery of standard work where applicableApply this methodology to create a launch excellence process for all new product and enhancements that are brought to market.
Monitor and measure effectiveness of all training components, including distance and live application of learning.
Work with sales leadership to create sales performance measurements such as a scorecard and key kpi’s in order to coach for improved performance and measure productivity.

CommunicationDemonstrated effective communication, influence and leadership skillsAbility to simplify complex concepts and communicate to diverse audiences.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
8+ years of professional experience
Ability to travel 30%
Location near a hub office of columbus, ohio or dallas, texas is preferred
