The ecommerce merchandise coordinator’s function is both detail-intensive and wide in scope, requiring among other capabilities: the capacity to plan and project manage the on-time ‘go live’ launch of seasonal collections, identify site experience improvements that will help cotopaxi customers discover and learn about products of greatest interest to them, and analyze product engagement and conversion metrics to help drive profitable revenue growth on cotopaxi.comAs part of the ecommerce merchandising team, there will also be opportunity for you to support other projects and strategic initiatives centered on the product assortment, pricing strategy, site navigation, pdp experience, and customer comments.
This role sits on the ecommerce team, reporting to the ecommerce manager.

Job responsibilities (how you’ll do it):
Manage the end-to-end setup of all cotopaxi products for all websites, including product imagery, attributes, pricing, markdowns, filters, tags, promotional pricing, category creation/maintenance, and product feature/benefits copyCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely receipt of all creative assets and product inventory to ensure products launch on schedule.
Support the day-to-day merchandising of all product areas of the websites, including product display order, features, web categorization and navigation to support key product stories and inventory position.
Own the ecommerce promotion and coupon process including creation and execution that meet the needs of the business.
Proactively seek and recommend opportunities to improve ecommerce merchandising process efficiencies, optimize resources, ensure a positive customer experience and minimize the amount of time it takes to update digital properties.
Collaborate with growth marketing, ecommerce operations, and go-to-market teams to assist in developing compelling merchandising themes and storytelling for professional learning.
Conduct quality assurance of homepages, links, and redirects.
Examine site daily/weekly to ensure products placement, link functionality, etc., and test new features and functionality as needed.
Collaborate with internal team members to implement seo best practices to increase product-related rankings in organic search engine results.
Collaborate with engineering, growth marketing, and ecommerce operations on internal search engines (marketing search and shopping search) tagging to ensure products are findable via natural language search terms, sku, and other internal identifiers.
Support daily site merchandising updates based on inventory, marketing calendar, key launches and overall merchandising guidelines.
Assist with producing weekly and monthly ecommerce business reviews, focusing on product sell-through performance, on-site search performance, and product conversion performance.
Assist with the creation of ad-hoc reports to better understand our business, our product assortment and customer engagement with our products to drive profitable revenue growth.
Partner with the digital analyst, ecommerce merchant, content specialist, and ecommerce manager to identify, recommend and help launch ongoing conversion rate optimization tests.
Participate in regular planning meetings with key stakeholders to evaluate, scope and plan for potential new projects.
Represent ecommerce in relevant stand-up meetings and weekly digital asset alignment meetings.
Work with business partners to assess projects’ impact on both internal resources and on the customer; and, make recommendations on approaches that can improve efficiencies.
Research digital product issues, bugs and defects and work to prioritize and achieve resolutions.
Assist with execution and planning of promotional and sale periods.
Build and manage the digital product catalog for ecommerce on a seasonal cadence.
Job requirements (what you need to succeed):
A degree similar to business administration, marketing, merchandising or business analytics, or equivalent related experience.
2-3+ years of experience in merchandising or related field, ideally with an e-commerce business.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional partners.
Highly analytical with ability provide data-driven recommendations and corresponding action plans.
Excellent project management, time management and organizational skills.
Excellent attention to detail and very organized.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in microsoft excel.
