Job description
We’re looking for a lead ux/ui designer to join our product teamIn this critical role, you will gather and evaluate user workflows and product requirements, in collaboration with product owners and software engineers at one of the leading food safety saas companiesYou will create storyboards, process flows, sitemaps and occasionally design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgetsIn this role, you will be involved in all facets of the product development lifecycle, expanding your knowledge to new levels.
What you’ll do?
Contributing design concepts across product and marketing and delivering high-quality, multi-platform designs in line with business goals
Create production-ready ux/ui workflows ready for implementation
Produce prototypes, wireframes and css to support engineers as required
Brainstorm, conceptualize, generate, and execute ideas that bring brand attributes and products to life
Collaborate with teams to review and ensure difficult ux features can be executed accurately against design concepts
Work with product leads in building custom dashboards and visualizations
Embody high creative standards, providing detailed direction and insight to product teams
Plan and conduct user research and usability testing
Capture and interpret usability data and qualitative feedback
Help bridge the gap between application design and marketing material
Understand the business metrics and translate company goals and objectives into digital experiences
Assist in in all aspects of the product development process from research to deployment
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your manager
What you’ll bring?
Bachelor’s degree in design, computer science, or relevant creative field
3+ years of professional ux/ui design experience, and/or ux/ui certifications
Knowledge of industry tools such as balsamiq mockups, sketch, invision, zeplin, adobe xd and pendo
Exceptional written, verbal, presentation and visual communication skills—ability to tell convincing stories that connect with people, whether end users, clients, or internal collaborators
Experience designing user-friendly websites, desktop applications, and mobile applications
Working knowledge of digital design techniques and tools, including typography, layouts, and responsive design
Ability to thrive and be motivated and well-organized across constantly evolving project needs
Creative and analytical approach toward user requirements
Experience packaging and deploying new products
Strong design skills, including a solid understanding of interaction design principles
Attention to detail
Nice to have
Pdf report design experience
Copywriting skills
Knowledge of mobile design and mobile development experience
Location
This position is based in reston, va but may be remote for the right candidate.
