Compliance Assistant Job Description
We are looking for an efficient individual to contribute to and support compliance projects. Develop positive long-term relationships with clients, contractors, and industry representatives. The ability to support multiple projects and contractors, follow up with stakeholders on non-compliance concerns, and maintain project documents and reports. To be successful you should be able to perform any tasks assigned by the manager in an efficient and timely manner. An outstanding compliance assistant should be able to maintain oversight of all project activities, identify any issues, and ensure these are resolved promptly.
Compliance Assistant Responsibilities:
• Researches, interprets, and enforces various sources of regulatory documentation pertaining to Department of labor issues;
• Review project wage determination(s), contractors' apprenticeship agreements, contractor union apprenticeship agreements
• Notifies contractors of DOL & DOES violations/infractions and requests corrective action be taken;
• Identify wage and classification pay concerns between employees and contractors
• Recommends withholding of contractor's funds from progress payments for noncompliance;
• Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and special reports to management, client, contractors
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Demonstrates superior seamless customer service
• Contributing to the planning and development of projects.
• Supporting the coordination and management of projects.
• Researching information as required.
• Performing administrative tasks such as preparing emails, reports, scheduling meetings, etc.
• Keeping track of and reporting on project progress.
• Completing any tasks assigned by management in an efficient and timely manner.
Compliance Assistant Requirements:
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Degree in business management or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in administrative assistant or a similar role.
• Highly organized and able to multitask.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to accomplish organization objectives by organizing and monitoring work processes
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint,
• Ability to work independently and without supervision
