Hiring range: $90,900.00 - $113,625.00 please note: the hiring range applies to us-based employment and may be higher in certain us geographic locationsLooking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with experience website creationFrontend web developer involved in innovative design, coding, and layout of our websiteWeb developer responsibilities include user side visual elements of applications, optimizing websites format, accessibility across platforms, optimizing performance, and communicating with clientsThey will work with marketing, legal, security, technical lead, and product ownersThey will be involved in the lifecycle of critical corporate-wide and customer-specific technology-based productsCan lead development of complex program logic for new or existing, multi-faceted applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applicationsHe or she may coach, provides expertise, or oversee the work of other professionals in the applicationsWhat will you do?
Maintains a personal relationship with jesus christIs a consistent witness for jesus christ, maintains a courteous, christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of compassion, and faithfully upholds compassion’s ministry in prayer.
Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of childrenUnderstands christ’s mandate to protect childrenCommits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministryAbides by all behavioral expectations in compassion’s statement of commitment to child protection and code of conductReports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.
Deep understanding and passion for the user experience: accessibility, performance, usability
Curious and self-driven; keeping up with emerging technologies
Experience crafting websites from concept to delivery
Decomposing designs into components and leveraging best practices for the user experience
Optimizing web pages for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
Write well-designed, testable, maintainable, and efficient code
Routinely tests websites for ease of use, speed, and other quality factors
Work cooperatively with key team members and outside partners
What do you bring?
Degree in computer science or related job experience
5+ years of experience in maintaining and improving high-performing production website(s)
3 + experience in c#
A high degree of proficiency with html & css including experience using preprocessors (scss)
Proficiency with javascript - both client & server-side; vanilla and/or leveraging frameworks
Proficiency with a cms - sitecore or tridion preferred
Nice to have experience in jamstack (next.js, gatsby, or nuxt.js) for future direction
