Full job description
Primary purpose of the job: the licensed mental health professional is responsible for providing direct clinical services intake, assessment, treatment planning, and outpatient psychotherapy to consumers of community care solutions, inc., in addition to providing weekly clinical supervision to unlicensed direct service staff (mhs, mhp, etc.) of community care solutions, incThe overall purpose is to provide quality service delivered with dignity and respect for the client and communityThis service is aimed at improving the client’s overall mental health, and generating increased community wellnessThe licensed mental health professional will practice in an ethical manner, work with colleagues and clients with respect and will be subject to supervision of his/her activitiesAn assigned manager or any member of the management team will supervise the licensed mental health professional.
Job environment: the licensed mental health professional will generally perform the job in a normal office or community environment.
1Complete intake, assessments, treatment plans for prospective clients.
2Provide weekly and documented clinical supervision to unlicensed direct care staff.
3Submit completed assessments, treatment plans, or any other documentation needed to approve client services as required by reimbursement standards and the policies and procedures manual in a timely manner to program director.
4Conduct outpatient psychotherapy to assigned clients.
5Conduct re-assessment interviews with clients and assigned staff.
6Ongoing assessment of clients’ needs and goals.
7Provide clinical diagnosis, treatment plan, and progress notes that are congruent and adhere to best practices and quality standard of care
8Update treatment plans as needed.
9Provide clinical training and in services as requested by program director.
10Attend required staff meetings and trainings.
11Effectively communicate with agency management
12Provides consultation and education to fellow staff, businesses, or community agencies in regards to clinical issues.
13Maintains the highest level of confidentiality, privacy, and security.
14Upholds and promotes all standards of carf, hipaa, reimbursable compliance and community care solutions, incPolicies and procedures outlined in agency’s policy manual.
15Respond and be available for crisis services before and after office hours.
Completion of a master’s degree in a clinical program (social work or counseling) that is regionally accredited and that is primarily oriented to mental health service delivery.
Full licensure in the state of louisiana (lpc or lcsw) as well as acquisition and maintenance of that license to practice and to obtain maximum insurance reimbursement.
As evidenced by previous work experience, academic background, and in-service or other training, the lmhp shall demonstrate a working knowledge of: diagnosing and treating mental health disorders
Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Maintain a current driver’s license and maintain current insurance.
