The global engineering center in puerto rico is looking for a mcad tool support technician to join our teamWe are looking for a strong, passionate problem-solver with an action-oriented, collaborative mindset who strives to exceed expectationsThis person will be in a cross disciplinary team environment and will need to be able to thrive on tackling challenges, as the position requires the use of problem-solving skills in a hands-on work environment to address problems and implement appropriate design or process changes
This position will sit at our aguadilla, pr location but can begin working remotely, within puerto ricoCandidate must be residing in puerto rico at the time of starting employment.
Primary responsibilities:
Support configuration, customizations, and upgrades of mechanical hardware
Identify new tool capabilities and work with mcad subject matter experts for future implementation
Support technical application solutions for mcad products.
Work with sw developers to ensure scripts/code meet user requirements (enhancements/updates/etc.).
Assist mcad subject matter experts to critically analyze functional specifications for options, feasibility, and sustainability.
Create/update system test cases; conduct unit & integration testing to ensure the defined functionality meets requirements.
Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Interact with the end customer on technical issuesDrive issues to closure.
Assist in the development of application user training.
Meet schedule deadlines and remain within budget.
Interact with customers and correctly interpret their needs and requirements.
Basic qualifications:
Aa/as degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
In the absence of a hs diploma, ged or aa/as degree, 10 years of relevant experience is required
Or, a bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 2 years of relevant experience
Effective communication and presentation skills in english (verbal and written).
Candidate must be a u.s citizen.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with printed circuit board design processes
Basic linux knowledge
Expertise with siemens nx
Familiarity with dassault enovia
Experience with design tool administration.
Work management within an agile framework.
