We are currently hiring a head of airport sales - americas, based in the us to join our cas divisionCollins aerospace has a global presence at more than 150 airports, including half of the 20 largest in the worldAs a leading provider of self-serve solutions, and with a reputation as a master communication network integrator, we understand that the flow of an airport is the flow of an industry.
The successful candidate is responsible for the sale of company products and/or services to assigned accounts or within a given region, and to develop contacts with existing and potential customersUnderstand existing and anticipated customer requirements and identify company products and services to fill such requirements.
Responsible for workforce planning, strategic enterprise growth, and organizational development initiatives: talent management; performance management; change management; training.
Responsible for the sale of company products, services, and solutions to assigned accounts or within the america’s region: direct and coordinate activities involving sales of manufactured products, services, commodities, etcWithin the region.
Develop and manage the budget for a given region sub-set: review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability.
Develop contacts with existing and potential customers
Understand existing and anticipated customer requirements and identify company products and services to fill such requirements: monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts; maintain technical proficiency and consult with prospective customers regarding use of company products and services.
Prepare sales plan and campaigns, business plans, and product development plans for a sub-set of a region: create sales presentations; quote prices and delivery dates.
Demonstrate and provide instruction to clients on the use of products: keep informed of new products and other information of interest to customers.
Investigate new applications or improvements to products.
Responsible for sales forecasting and sales strategies for a sub-set of a region.
Provide marketing intelligence to sales management for a sub-set of a region.
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience or
Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience or
In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required
Engineering/other technical positions: bachelor’s degree (typically in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (stem)) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws / regulations.
Must be authorized to work in the u.sWithout sponsorship now or in the futureCollins aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.
At least 10 years of relevant experience in sales and account management function within airports or relevant technology industry.
Possess strong sales and account management skills and the ability to manage senior stakeholders
Familiar with airports/ airline operations and technologies
In-depth knowledge of airports contracting and acquisition processes; combined with demonstrated experience and understanding of proposal development process, opportunity reviews and pricing efforts.
Proven track records in successful sales closure
