Lead interior designer
(2 positions - san francisco bay area & remote)
We’re looking for two star members to join our fun and hardworking team as full-time
Lead interior designersThe sf bay area position includes working from home with the ability to travel throughout the bay area (primarily palo alto area) for client meetings and project site visitsThe remote position is fully remote / work from home.

Competencies & expectations:
Can identify, describe, and implement the “coddington design” aesthetic and core values
Able to lead a design project from beginning to end, including new client on-boarding, design development and implementation, review construction documents, procurement and inspection, and installation.
Able to independently source furniture, fabric, finishes, lighting and decor
Is articulate and competent with clients and always prepared and organized for client meetings
Can comfortably and professionally interact with clients, vendors, workrooms, architects and contractors
Manage client expectations and communicate with clients eectively and consistently
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times, particularly with vendors, clients, and at the design center
Able to create accurate, error-free proposals, po’s and invoices in studio designer, including complex custom upholstery and window treatment proposals
Manage furniture purchasing timelines and deliverables
Autocad, photoshop and rendering software desirable
Manage construction timelines and deliverables
Work eciently and be proactive, identify problems before they occur
Comfortable working with high net worth clients
Under the direction of the design director, lead all phases of the design process and client meetings with competency, organization, and creativity while adhering to company and project goals
Work with clients to determine initial goals and needs for the space to be designed
Collaborate and coordinate with architects, builders, and trade partners
Create furniture plans, elevations, construction and shop drawings in autocad
Collaborate with clients to select materials, furnishings, and decor that will meet their needs and tastes without pushing your own design aesthetic
Determine and maintain project timelines
Create client budgets with accurate cost estimates
Create client proposals, po’s, and invoices in studio designer
Maintain weekly project updates for clients
Oversee the installation of materials, furniture, and other design elements
Ensure client satisfaction by visiting the project upon completion with the client; resolve any complaints or concerns.
Maintain current knowledge of trends and materials, techniques, and other developments in interior design.
Support design director and senior designer on projects
Attend weekly zoom sta meetings
Perform other related duties as assigned.
3 years experience in a residential design firmInterior design degree not required but is ideal, depending on work experience
Project management and client-facing experience
Self-motivated with an ability to keep projects moving with minimal supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Precision and attention to detail
Proactive with a strong willingness to “figure it out” if you don’t know something
Willingness to “wear many hats” within our small but mighty company
Proficient in autocad, studio designer, and google drive, including sheets, docs, and
