The vision of clinical health network for transformation (chn) is to better fulfill the mission and promise of planned parenthood to bring high-quality, affordable care to every member of our communitiesChn is a collaboration between 14 planned parenthood affiliates across 18 statesCombined, the 14 affiliates execute 1 million patient visits annually and employ 5,000 staff members at approximately 190 health centers.
Chn is looking for individuals who are committed to supporting our shared goal of strengthening and enhancing our awareness and commitment to advancing the cause of health and race equity in our organization.
Position summary: reporting to the compensation & benefits manager, the benefits administrator supports clinical health network for transformation (chn) and its affiliates in the administration of health and welfare benefits, payroll balancing, 401(k) plan administration, and leaves of absence.
Administer day-to-day operations of employee benefit programs, including, but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life & ad&d insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and retirement
Implement new benefit programs; arrange and conduct employee information presentations and enrollments
Act as a subject matter expert of benefits plans, policies and offerings ensuring accurate and comprehensive support and communication to employees
Resolve benefit related queries and issues in a timely and professional manner
Resolve administrative problems with carrier representatives
Calculate benefit premiums and ensure benefit changes are entered appropriately in payroll system for payroll deductions
Verify the calculation of the monthly premiums statements for all group insurance policies; reconcile payroll deductions and benefit billing statements
Administer fmla and other loa claims, tracks, and documents in accordance with applicable laws and internal workflow processes
Prepare all benefits and retirement related reports required by government regulatory agencies and maintain all relevant records
Creates and promotes a culture of continuous improvement
Ensures compliance with all chn and affiliate policies, as well as all state and federal regulations
Demonstrates a commitment to chn and planned parenthood’s mission related to health equity, especially centering racial equity, and deep sense of accountability to community
Demonstrates a commitment to learning about and enhancing practices related to racial equity and the impact of structural racism on healthcare systems
Provides positive and development feedback and accountability related to practices including, but not limited to, equity

Qualifications and experience (required)
Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration or related field or equivalent experience
3-5+ years in benefits administration
Working knowledge of employee benefit programs and applicable laws
Demonstrated ability to maintain a customer-centric service approach in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated integrity working with confidential data
Strong attention to detail and follow-up
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with microsoft software (word, excel, etc.)
Demonstrated dedication to planned parenthood’s mission, vision, and values
Qualifications and experience (preferred)
Experience managing carrier integrations/files
Experience with leave of absence administration
Commitment to advancing race(+) equity in one’s work: interested in expanding knowledge about the role that racial inequity plays in our society
Awareness of multiple group identities and their dynamics, bringing a high level of self-awareness about personal identity, empathy, and humility to interpersonal interactions
