Chuckanut bay foods is a privately held commercial bakery in blaine, washingtonWe specialize in making handmade, all natural dessertsWe are looking for a motivated and outgoing sales manager to help expand our business in the southwestern united statesThis is an ideal position for someone who is looking for the opportunity to be a part of a growing business while working from homeYou will be joining a sales team that values hard work, respect, and fun.
Job duties
Responsible for sales to both retail grocery chains and distributors in the southwestern united states
Establish, monitor, and maintain communication with existing accounts to promote complete penetration of the account and generate maximum revenue
Open new accounts through leads generated by the company or by personally identifying and contacting potential customers
Seek opportunities to expand and build customer base
Make regular sales calls to existing customers as well as prospective accounts
Prepare a pre-call plan for each territory and document post-call analysis
Monitor and motivate sales efforts of broker partners to open new accounts and increase sales in existing accounts
Work with broker merchandising teams to maximize sales at store level
Generate and maintain profitable marketing plans
Perform record-keeping functions such as preparing and maintaining customer files, brochures, price files, competitor analysis
Work to resolve any customer issues or discrepancies that arise
Work with sales administrator on new item set up, managing customer requests, maintaining marketing materials, creating necessary internal documents, etc.
Assist in new product research, evaluation, pricing, and marketing analysis
Maintain close working relationships with our customer service department, buyer, and production manager
Provide trade show support to include show planning and execution, customer follow up, and distributor referrals
Desired skills and experience
5+ years experience in the grocery industry
Experience working with distributors and brokers
Ability to travel (approximately 50%)
