Reporting manager: senior director, business development
We are looking for a sales development representative (sdr) to expand champions’ portfolio of translational oncology research partners in north americaThe sdr is a fast-paced, competitive role, responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities for our translational oncology solutions (tos) business development teamsThe sdr will work closely with our north america tos business development and marketing teams, and drive demand for champions’ oncology pharmacology products and solutions into biopharma and academic accountsThe sdr will create and develop relationships by prospecting within specified geographic areas and vertical markets, and will quickly become an expert in the application of our pharmacology products and servicesThe successful candidate will be a self-motivated and driven individual who is goal-oriented, methodical, tenacious, and can effectively interact with a team at all levelsThe ideal candidate will have a firm understanding of oncology research and how pharmacology services can be utilized in pre-clinical and translational oncology drug developmentIn this role, you will be responsible for identifying potential clients, actively engaging with oncology/immuno-oncology focused organizations, with a goal to generate pipeline for our industry-leading oncology pharmacology solutions and platforms duties and responsibilities:
Identifying and account mapping potential clients.
Generating qualified leads through effective prospecting and outreach by phone/email.
Working closely with the research partnering north america bd team to generate leads and opportunities, in assigned geographical territories.
Maintain all relevant information about clients, prospects, campaigns, and leads.
Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date data for all prospects, contacts, and accounts in our crm.
Research prospects and their companies to empower the tos business development team before scheduled meetings.
Work with marketing to provide feedback on refining basic internal sales collateral.
Work closely with business development, marketing, and enterprise client success teams to share knowledge, resources, and best practices to help develop procedures throughout the company.
Own the lead workflow process to directly impact our sales numbers.
Skills, qualifications and abilities
Master of science (ms) in biological/medical disciplines with 2 plus years of relevant experience, ordoctorate (md or phd) in biological/medical or bioinformatic disciplines
Experience in the biopharma industry, with understanding of drug discovery and development.
Relevant work experience or background in the field of oncology/immuno-oncology.
Relevant experience in biopharma/biotech business development or sales, or related experience and an established network in the biopharmaceutical industry.
Demonstrated success in identifying and qualifying potential clients/partnerships that has resulted in substantial impact.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, critical-thinking, verbal, and written communication skills.
Highly developed organizational and operational skills, with ability to execute tasks strategically
Ability to understand and memorialize technically complex offerings, and to effectively communicate related capabilities to potential clients/partners.
Self-motivated, self-starter, with attention to detail, and proven ability to work well on teams.
