Our client is currently seeking a skilled drupal front-end developer to join their interaction design studio teamThis 100% employee-owned organization has been in business for more than 50 years and has a staff of over 1,700 employeesThe company works in various federal, state and local government sectors to provide digital services in communications, data collection & survey research, it, evaluation and statistical sciences.
This role is a full-time, temporary-to-hire opportunity with stock options awarded to all full-time staff at the time of hireThey offer several health insurance options to their employees, as well as competitive roth 401k programs and bonus structuresOur client office is local to rockville, mdIdeally we are seeking someone willing to work in a remote hybrid environment, but we are flexible to fully remote candidates as well.
The drupal front-end developer will report directly to the ux manager and work in collaboration with designers, backend programmers, and management teams to tackle various client projects as well as internal initiativesThe primary focus of the drupal front-end developer will be producing top-notch, innovative digital solutions.
This client will require employees and contractors, regardless of work location, to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against covid-19.
Drupal front-end developer responsibilities:
Develop and theme drupal 9-based websites that are responsive and mobile adaptive
Develop and implement user interfaces based on provided ux/ui wireframes, design compositions, and style guides
Collaborate with designers, ux/information architect, study teams, and programmers to develop interactive products
Craft quality code and solutions for maintainability and extensibility
Participate actively in project intake & update meetings and offer solutions
Front-end developer requirements:
Completed bachelor’s degree
2-3 years’ relevant work experience (government agency exposure a plus!)
2-3 years’ experience with theming and module development in drupal 8/drupal 9
Experience developing mobile adaptive websites
Comprehensive understanding of design and web production best practices, including web usability standards, cross-browser compatibility, and building page templates
Experience with sass
Experience with version control systems, such as git and tsf
Experience with frameworks and libraries (react, angular, vue)
Experience with sharepoint
508 compliance/accessibility experience
