Job description:
Sr software engineer, caterpillar inc., chicago, il (multiple positions available; may work remotely within commuting distance of work location)
Will design, develop and deploy a platform to host a wide range of digital applicationsWill work across functional lines with individuals assigned in new program development and/or maintenance of existing mobile, web, cloud, server, personal computer, mainframe, and/or distributed computing systemsWill work on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution, will assist in direct development, debugging, and testing of application software for accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness.
The position requires a master degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, information technology, electronics engineering or related area and five (5) years of progressive experience designing and developing software applications in java (or scala) including three (3) years experience in developing micro frontends using angular rxjs, ngrx (or similar state management library), experience in mobile web development using capacitor or cordova and end-to-end testing framework (testcafe).
Alternatively, will accept a bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, information technology, electronics engineering or related and 7 years of progressive experience designing and developing software applications in java (or scala) including three (3) years experience in developing micro frontends using angular rxjs, ngrx (or similar state management library), experience in mobile web development using capacitor or cordova and end-to-end testing framework (testcafe).
