About the position:
Vehicle inventory is the foundation of our dealer inspire website platform and powers the data for all our productsThis position is for our inventory support team, which handles escalations from our customer support teams that may involve more triage, debugging and problem solvingIdentifying classes of issues and creating broad solutions for customers are encouraged, and the team works closely with the core inventory services team to identify, plan and build solutions to gaps or opportunities identified through customer feedback.
Essential duties & responsibilities (including, not but limited to)
Work with all members of support to prioritize and complete dealer issues or updates in a timely manner.
Become familiar and knowledgeable about the end-to-end delivery of vehicle data to our website platform.
Demonstrate the initiative and method for solving different problems and propose effective solutions for those problems.
Support and maintain legacy features.
Debug and problem solve for any issues coming through inventory feeds.
These items are a bedrock set of skills to step into a software engineer role on the inventory support team.
Experience with php
Experience with object-oriented languages
Experience working with relational databases such as mysql, postgres, etc.
Experience working with git or other modern source control
Understanding of web application development
Strong debugging and critical thinking skills to diagnose support issues
Task-oriented, with an ability to prioritize
Strong written communication skills
Highly desired

Experience working with laravel or wordpress
Experience with front-end technologies like html5, sass, and javascript
Experience with job queues and background php processes
Understanding of rest apis
Ability to surface technical debt issues and develop a plan for resolution.
Experience working remotely & as part of a distributed engineering team.
