Position summary
We are seeking an innovative program manager for our lenels2 physical security management system and video management system product linesThis person will lead the cross-functional teams in order to bring new product developments through the complete product life cycle from concept through commercial release.
Core responsibilities
Utilizes npd program management best practices by creating, assembling, and leading cross-functional teams involved in the product development lifecycle including product management, software, and hardware engineering, industrial design, qa, documentation, compliance, technical support, and manufacturing
Drives the use of carrier’s program gating process to assure that commitments are well defined and met and that comprehensive plans and deliverables are in place
Works with business leaders to set program goals: scope, business case, and program kpis
Works with program team to develop and execute plans for product release
Develops and monitors key product, program, and business kpi metrics
Ensures program’s deliverables meet requirements and are delivered within schedule, budget, and performance kpis
Proactively manages program risk at all levels and ensures effective contingency planning and risk mitigation
Achieves expected and committed product delivery, quality, service, and financial goals; informs business leaders as soon as an “out of bounds” condition develops; develops recommendations for deviations in a timely fashion
Key communicator of business goals to program team; facilitates team performance commitments to those goals
Key communicator to stakeholders and business leadership of program status and risks; creates and presents phase gate reviews to technical and business leaders
Provides for the timely assessment, planning, and execution of product commercialization and ensures that products are consistent with market/customer needs and business strategies.
Takes on other assignments as needed
Experience / qualification requirements
3 – to 5 years of new product development related program management experience with a successful track record of leading cross-functional teams is a must
Demonstrated experience in engineering program management of delivering software and hardware-based programs as scoped with quality, on-time, and within budget
Demonstrated and working knowledge of multiple methodologies and tools (e.gAgile, iterative, waterfall), specific focus on agile methodologies
Demonstrated excellent communication, risk management, negotiating, problem-solving, root cause analysis, and influencing skills at all levels and with external organizations
Passion for collaboration, technology, and product development
Strong experience working with global teams and driving collaboration to meet program expectations
Education
Engineering, technical, program/project management bachelor`s degree required
Desired qualifications
Certifications: pmi-pmp (project management professional), pmi-acp (agile certified professional)
Cross-functional experience across diverse disciplines (i.eMarketing, development, finance, supply chain)
Experience working with external business segments and/or non-us based teams and suppliers
Agility (i.eAbility to be effective in an environment of continuous change)
Ability to coach, mentor, influence, lead and motivate
Remote work is an option for a right candidate
