Position objective as an experienced colleague programmer with experience at a colleague client site, or more formally with either datatel or ellucian your expertise will be used daily at campusworksThe vast majority of your responsibility we envision is done remotely, from your own home officeWhile there are opportunities for some travel, both when it is safe to do so and for a good client need, you will mostly be at homeThis is one of the great benefits of being part of the campusworks’ team!
The colleague programmer position for campusworks is an important part of the service delivery team and requires technical knowledge of programming languages, databases, reporting tools and web applications in order to support the needs of clientsA significant part of the work requires systems integration, custom data imports/exports and automation with scripts and programs and infrastructure knowledgeThe colleague programmer demonstrates a high level of resourcefulness, problem-solves quickly, and works effectively across teams.
Team members successful in this role are: self-driven, able to understand the needs of the client and communicate effective solutions to multiple stakeholders, and experienced at managing multiple technical projects.
Job type: 1099 contract consultant
Responsibilities
Develops specifications (in concert with end user offices) and completes programming and testing activity colleague extensions using the envision tool kit and colleague studio.
Develops and maintains technical architecture documentation.
Develops and generates reports as needed for business and leadership review.
Designs and development work include collaboration and advising for both the end user community and the client’s it department
Participates in colleague/ellucian module project implementation and/or unidata to sql migration for colleague.
Requirements
5 to 7 years’ experience at a higher education institution
Programming
Development and architecture documentation
Report writing (including sql reporting services)
Project management
All colleague modules (envision, webadvisor, workflow and elf programmingUnibasic, uniquery, uniobjects, tool kit and colleague studio
Sql server, unidata and oracle (as needed) relational databases and data migrations (etl) experience
