The vp, consumer analytics is responsible for driving the analytics and insights underpinning enterprise lifetime value and personalization strategy enterprise wide across aetna, caremark and retailThis position will report to the chief analytics officer, aetna and caremark and primarily support chief customer officer and her mandate of building a common understanding of the cvs health consumerThis leader will work closely with all business areas of the enterprise to deliver a range of analytics solutions that help enable data driven decision making by translating advanced data science and optimization skills into specific strategies that drive profitable customer behavior.
By focusing on customer loyalty, satisfaction, and retention this leader will derive insights as well as identify new value streams that help engage our customers across multiple channelsThe position will play an essential role in supporting the evolution of our enterprise brand positioning where the consumer is at the heart of our core strategy and decision making.

Engage with executive leadership to identify areas where analytics can drive business value, frame business problems into analytic questions, and translate analytics into business value
Develop and execute a prioritized analytic strategy to address the business needs and partner with leaders as needed to deliver on the strategy
Deliver analytic solution methodologies and capabilities to enable insight generation and reporting, such as identification and closure of data gaps, metrics and measurement methodology development, design and prototyping of reporting and data visualization solutions, and ad hoc analytic studies
Work with consumer-centered design team to synthesize insights from quantitative and qualitative data to provide expert guidance on how to enhance customer journeys, engagement, and cross-enterprise loyalty
Leverage sophisticated analytics and insights, provide thought-partnership and bring the “voice of the customer” to guide business decisions and provide meaningful, actionable, data-driven opportunities and actions in alignment with business strategy
Lead the measurement and monitoring of the “voice of the consumer” data and initiatives to identify opportunities and demonstrate the roi of specific interventions
Translate technical goals into strategic roadmaps, and align roadmaps to architecture and platforms in collaboration with it and digital partners; ensure integrated marketing technology supports business needs and consumer engagement goals
Proactively and innovatively meet challenges and leverage opportunities posed by changing market forces, regulatory environments, consumer needs, and technological advancements
15+ years of progressive experience in the analytics field
Ability to synthesize data and insights from multiple sources to craft impactful insights
Excellent ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with analytic and non-analytic business partners, including executive leadership, in order to elicit business needs and formulate, propose and refine analytic solutions in order to meet the business needs and to drive efficiency and effectiveness improvements and business value/impact
Experience building and leading project teams in a matrix environment
Proven team leadership and management experience, with ability to recruit, engage and develop staff with advanced degrees and diverse backgrounds and in different geographic locations, ability to allocate resources based on priority and skill level, strengths, and area of expertise; ability to train and mentor junior colleagues
Solid understanding and hands-on experience with a variety of analytic processes, tools, and techniques, including measurement methodologies development, hypothesis testing, statistical significance testing, modeling as well as an understanding of machine learning concepts; ability to understand and adapt emerging analytic tools and solutions into the analytic standard operating procedures
Experience with consumer segmentation and stratification, personalization of outreach, database marketing, and multivariate and a/b testing concepts and measurement
Solid understanding and hands-on experience working with large data sources, focusing on efficient data extraction and data manipulation
Excellent written and oral communication and data presentation skills, with ability to tailor the communication style to the right audience, including a strong ability to communicate technical concepts, insights and implications to business partners/leaders
Excellent project management skills with ability to lead and engage in multiple projects and initiatives and appropriately prioritize one`s own time as well as that of the direct reports and contributing resources
