The qualified candidate for this position will be a senior member of a team of linux systems engineers supporting red hat linux (rhel) platform for an innovative portfolio of applicationsThis position requires a highly qualified individual who possesses a positive attitude, exceptional technical and organizational skills, a drive to focus and produce results (getting things done attitude)The qualified candidate will drive best practices and participate in system build-outs for “agile”, fast-to-market projects, as well as proactive system administration, enhancements, troubleshooting, and 24x7 operational issues such as problem, incident, and change management.
5+ years experience in mid-range systems engineering - particularly red-hat enterprise linux
5+ years of experience in large scale automated linux deployment using kickstart via pxe boot
Someone who knows with a fair amount of detail at least 3 major kernel subsystems (networking, storage, and memory) with a good level of detail
5+ years of experience supporting applications issues on linux via deep root cause analysis and issue remediation
5+ years of experience with external directory based authentication systems integrating the linux os
5+ years of experience with hp server and/or blade server experience
5+ years of hba configuration experience, including multipath setup and queue depth
5+ years of scripting experience; shell (bash), perl, python

Bachelor`s degree preferred
Experience with other unix flavors such as hp unix – a plus
Experience with vmware virtualization – a plus
Experience with cisco ucs hardware – a plus
Experience with red hat enterprise linux in medium to large enterprise environment preferred
Experience supporting a multiple node oracle rac environment running on linux strongly preferred
O cisco fc switch fabrics (san-os/nx-os), fabric manager and device manager
O xp 24000/usp-v, 3par, and hp eva storage systems
Fiber channel switching and san experience a plus
Familiarity with enterprise processes and procedures (itil or mof)regarding change control, security auditing/remediation and documentation
Ability to monitor & maintain all server infraIncluding servers, storage fabric & disk arrays
Ability to perform on-going capacity planning and performance analysis of systems infra.
Ability to respond to and resolve escalated customer-related issues
Ability to collaborate with and provide technical advice and direction to systems administrators
Ability to coordinate with vendors on issues with sw/hw, or the interaction between the two
High school diploma, ged or equivalent experience
