Worksite is hiring a product owner sales enablement to assume authority and accountability for real-time decision making, defining and prioritizing the product backlog, setting quality standards for delivery and maximizing the value of the product/system functionality from a business and user point of view by leading the work of the agile development teamThe po translates the product vision into features by elaborating user stories and creating diagrams and modelsThe product owner will lead face to face, remote, or mixed location agile teams as they define the functional requirements, manage the development sprints, remove roadblocks, and constantly communicate the strategyS/he will serve as the primary communicator and link between stakeholders and teams to define the minimum viable product (mvp) and negotiate tradeoffs of conflicting priorities to deliver the business product direction/features and communicate the product roadmap.
As a product owner sales enablement, your responsibilities will include:
Act as a product owner (po) and leader of in-person, remote, and/or mixed location cross-functional agile scrum team(s).
The primary communicator of the product vision and link between stakeholders (vp level and above) and agile teams to receive input on product direction/features and communicate product roadmap.
Provide vision and direction to the agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements for part of the process/system design owned.
Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product/system of multiple development teamsEnsures that the product backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and highlights priorities and tasks for scrum team.
Provide backlog management leadership and decision making (financial and benefit realization accountability), iteration planning, and elaboration of the user storiesWork closely with lead product management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or roi.
Define user stories, set goals/priorities to determine the product release plans, and set expectations for the delivery of new functionalityPerform an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of release/sprint goalsAlso provide a timely escalation of complex impediments, if unable to resolve within the team.
Research system capabilities, business needs, user requirements, and develops the roadmap for the productAssess value and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure the team focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
Transform business requirements into detailed user stories and clearly defined acceptance criteria that engineers can consume.
Keep abreast with agile/scrum best practices and new trends.
Develop and deliver meaningful presentations and demos for internal and external audiences.
The product owner sales enablement position is well-suited for you if you:
Possess an in-depth knowledge of agile processes and principles (including scrum).
Demonstrate strong communication, presentation, and leadership skillsGood ability to engage with executive stakeholders.
Display strong user story writing, solid organizational, and time management skills.
Exhibit sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
Think creatively and demonstrate attention to detail.
Qualified candidates will have:
Bachelor`s degree in a related discipline or equivalent.
Minimum of five years of related work experience, including product owner/management or other insurance operations industry experience.
Certified scrum product owner (cspo) highly preferred, or the ability to achieve this certification within the first year of hire.
Experience with jira a plus.
Strong knowledge of microsoft office suite and other business-related software.
Ability to work both independently and collaborate in cross-functional team settings.
