The ux copywriter will be the voice of cdw digital productsYou will speak to our audience through compelling and engaging copy and microcopy, helping our customers find the right products for their businessYou’ll have the opportunity to learn and work cross-functionally with a number of technology and product experts at cdw to better understand who our audience is, what they love, and where they’d find value in our productsThrough the use of qualitative research, a/b testing and analytics, you’ll determine what works best for our audiences, refine successful approaches, and share it with all product teams through documentation and by continually evolving our best practices and strategies.
Key areas of responsibility
Develop clear and compelling copy for a digital product or business area that facilitates a smooth online experience Work in a cross-team collaborative environment with visual designers, ux researchers, engineering and product managers & influence and adapt to stakeholders and their feedback Drive vision for product language and content across product or research hub articles and ensure cohesive product narrativesDocument your strategies with guidelines, and establish best practices and strategy principles Elevate cdw brand voice across digital products by building empathy for targeted user groups Regular analysis and presentation of content, such as performance metrics (time on page, page visits, completion rates, etc) and other strategic deliverables to internal stakeholders A/b and user test copy for maximum performance across differentiated user groups Analyze performance of new and existing copy and microcopy for optimization opportunities Create and maintain documentation of best practices and strategiesAuthor, maintain, and evangelize the ux content style guide as it relates to the broader design system
Education and/or experience qualifications
6+ years of digital copywriting experience Bachelor’s degree or 4 years equivalent ux copywriting experience
2+ years of b2b digital copywriting/ux writing experience 4+ years of ux copywriting experience (b2b preferred) Prior experience working closely with ui/ux to conduct user research and conceive/deliver online content Familiarity with design thinking and agile processes Demonstrated experience in using data and user research to enhance online experiences Proven record of successful project management and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the company including senior leadership Demonstrated ability to analyze data and conduct primary research Ability to multitask and be adaptable in a fast-changing environment
Proficient with microsoft office; excel, word, outlook and powerpoint Basic understanding of html/css Keen eye for detail, problem-solving, and collaborating with cross-functional product teams as a key team member Familiarity with usertesting.com or other qualitative research platforms Experience conducting remote moderated and unmoderated interviews, panels, and focus groups
