Brand Partner (Remote) at BuySellAds
We’re looking for a Marketer to turn Consultant and help our clients identify, develop and scale successful marketing programs that meet and exceed their goals. If you’ve helped build and run performance marketing for a B2B or B2C tech company, you’ve likely learned a lot about marketing attribution, how to measure ROI on campaigns and various channels, and what type of support you needed from your external partners. Here’s your chance to share what you’ve learned & spread your knowledge among a portfolio of clients.
This role has two parts, one of which you’re already great at:
Marketing consulting → building strong marketing programs comprised of our publisher inventory, deeply understanding marketing goals, and make recommendations that will support your client-marketers goals
Sales → you’ll reach out to marketers just like you & offer your services to them. Sales isn’t for everyone, but it’s much less scary than you’d imagine, especially when you’re already a subject matter expert! We’ll help you learn how to build a sales funnel & the healthy habits you’ll need to develop to grow your book of clients. To give you some more confidence, some of our most successful Brand Partners started out in marketing & we helped them learn the ropes on the sales side.
Here’s more about what we do. BuySellAds helps connect great brands with hard to reach audiences. Our main publisher focuses include lifestyle, developers & designers, cryptocurrency, and parenting. We do the heavy lifting, whether:
- Better Mortgage wants to reach young first time home buyers → Lifestyle
- Mailchimp wants to reach developers & designers → Developers & Designers
- Coinbase wants to reach crypto enthusiasts → Cryptocurrency
- Target wants to reach new moms → Parenting
Digg, Glow, Flipboard, and Axios are just some of the sites we are able to help make more money by connecting them with advertisers like Mailchimp, Slack, Parachute Home, and HelloFresh, who are all able to expand their reach through BuySellAds.
Here’s the exciting part. We sell unique native ads that are not accessible through programmatic exchanges, reaching a tech-savvy influencer audience. Think emails folks are excited to receive, sites people have set as their homepage, or apps you love to tell your friends about. We help get marketers in those places. And it converts like crazy.
Marketing Expertise: Help marketers build successful marketing campaigns by understanding their goals & matching them with a curated selection of our publishers
Outbound Leads: Go outbound and pitch your services to marketers in a personalized, thoughtful way (we prefer tailor-made outreach over bulk drip emails and cold calling)
Inventory Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of BuySellAds’ ad opportunities and respective publisher audiences
Inbound Leads: Field inbound interest from other marketers, understand their needs, and propose custom tailored solutions
Campaign Launch & Renewals: Work with our Client Success Managers to launch your clients’ ad campaigns & monitor performance together to ensure a renewal campaign
Goal Oriented: Work to know just as much as our marketers do about their goals and future goals
Quota: You’ll maintain a book of business & be responsible for hitting your quota. This role includes commission, so you’ll be incentivized to help your clients build strong, always-on campaigns.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 4+ years of marketing experience
- Interested in applying your marketing knowledge in a sales context
- Obsessively checks emails and replies at an alarming rate
- Is excited at the opportunity to help marketers achieve complex goals
- Is organized and structured but is not fazed by an out of the box request
- Has the ability to work independently, consistently producing meaningful results
- Is comfortable working remotely
- Ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment
- Client-focused mindset with a passion for using data and analytics to drive business results
- Bonus points for past marketing agency experience (either working at an agency or with one)
We are a fully distributed/remote team, with 45+ people spread out across 30 cities in 6 countries. We connect weekly through a video stand up and keep in touch through Slack. We empower teammates to contribute meaningful results. We largely work around an EST schedule but are flexible.
