About the role as an agency business development account manager in the agency business unit, you will be responsible for identifying and generating new agency acquisition and business utilizing a consultative approach, representing and articulating business wire’s value propositionPositive, self-motivated and a high level of determination are attributes which are important to possess to be a part of a strong, ambitious and determined team.
What you will do
Strong understanding of the agency landscape and how business wire plays a key role in their solution selling strategy.
Develops thorough knowledge of the industry, our products and services, as well as those of our competitors.
Effectively communicates the value proposition and roi of business wire products and services.
Generates new revenue for business wire through new agency client acquisition and growth.
Collaborate with the agency account managers and additional bw sales personnel to identify agency opportunities in their respective territories.
Builds a sales pipeline by cultivating agency prospects, creating new business opportunities and increasing revenue within the united states.
Meets with prospective new agency clients a minimum of 20 times per month via in-person meetings and/or webinars building relationships and introducing business wire products and services.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending conferences, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional industry societies and associations.
Connect and increase social media visibility with clients as a member of the business wire agency group, sharing thought leadership, case studies, industry and business wire hosted events.
Strong ability to build relationships, identify agency contacts and interact via linkedin, twitter and other social networking platforms.
Meet or exceeds sales quotas and performance objectives.
Successfully executes client contracts from negotiation to close in adherence to related company policies and procedures.
Performs needs analysis on prospective new agency clients to ensure a clear understanding of their respective business needs to provide an equitable business wire solution.
Maximizes results by satisfying multiple buyers in an agency and systematically address conflicting needs of multiple buyer influencers.
Maintains accurate records of all sales activities, including calls, meetings, opportunities, emails, social outreach, in salesforce crm.
Strong ability to build relationships, identify agency contacts and interact via linkedin, twitter and other social networking platforms.
What you will need
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships with clients across an organizational hierarchy, including executive/c-level.
Ability to analyze potential new agency business opportunities, present offerings and negotiate contracts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
Possess high standard of integrity and critical thinking/problem solving.
Exceptional time management skills displaying the ability to manage multiple tasks with strict attention to detail.
Understanding and ability to utilize social media to build thought leadership.
Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales goals by managing all stages of the sales cycle including prospecting, needs analysis, presentation, proposal, negotiation and closing.
Understanding and ability to communicate at a high level with professionals in investor relations, financial reporting, public relations, marketing, social media and corporate communications preferred.
Ba/bs degree, or international equivalent, preferred.
Minimum of 2 years outside sales experience required.
Proficiency with salesforce.com
