The accountant position will work closely with the entire finance department as well as other build.com departments, such as sales and marketing in a fast paced environmentThe role will include a mix of daily, monthly, and annual accounting responsibilitiesYou will be challenged to identify and improve current process inefficiencies and will play a role in launching future projects.
What are you going to do?
Month-end close activities
Complete consolidation journal entries
Complete month-end g/l account and bank reconciliations
Identify month-end close opportunities
Provide commentary on monthly variances
Cash and marketplace sales reconciliation
Reconcile monthly cash receipts for various payment methods
Maintain accurate integration with both directly and indirectly coordinated customer payment methods and 3rd party marketplaces
Identify and report inconsistencies
Find opportunities for accuracy and facilitate improvements
Compliance/ audit support
Maintain a shown understanding of sox compliance
Review work-papers supporting critical controls for completeness and accuracy
Collect and prepare audit data requests
See opportunities for improved department accuracy and improvements
Vendor rebate collection support
Maintain and respond to rebate communication
Send quarterly and yearly collection notices
Ensure credits are entered, taken, and logged in a timely manner
Evaluate overall collection rate by category
Other projects as assigned

Education/training/experience - high school diploma or ged; one or more years of relevant accounting experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
