Job summary: blavity incIs looking for an experienced influencer/talent manager to centralize blavity inc.’s outreach and relationships with talent and influencersAdditionally, the role will serve as a source of truth for all cross-functional teams to reference when communicating and negotiating with talentThis role requires equal parts rapport and creativity in managing blavity’s vip talent networkDay to day activities include working across both branded and owned & operated campaigns, programs, and events to match influencers/talent with the ideal blavity audience and campaign objectivesResponsibilities span from talent-sourcing and relationship management, to negotiating, content development, execution, and metrics tracking.
This role will report directly to the vp, creative strategy.
Leverage both industry knowledge and data to appropriately align branded and owned & operated campaign needs with influencer talent; and lead outreach efforts with talent and agencies Develop talent relationship management program, building strategic relationships with blavity vip talent Manage cradle-to-grave campaign components related to influencer talent; from negotiations through campaign wrap you are the point-person for all things influencer/talent-related Partner with sales to strategically position influencer talent within active pitches, providing collateral when necessary Partner with creative production in creating and executing against fast-paced timelines; revising as appropriate to meet evolving campaign objectives Partner with editorial and afrotech teams on live programming and event speaker bookings Assess and report out on influencer performance, as defined by the metrics of success outlined in their agreements Partner with our internal campaign and finance teams to ensure agreements are fulfilled as scoped, and invoices are processed accurately and on time Ultimately own the quality standards and organization of all influencer/talent deliverables Partner with cross-functional teams in co-creating and improving processes as blavity incContinues to grow
Education: four-year degree, or equivalent industry experience Experience: 5+ years (2+ years in a supervisory capacity) of experience managing digital influencer talent/brands, with an existing network of influencer/celebrity relationships Technologies: proficiency with project management software such as asana, keynote/powerpoint, docusign, and creatoriq or similar software Demonstrated diplomacy and discretion in managing negotiations that result in clear scoping and mutually beneficial outcomes Demonstrated knowledge and passion for topical news at the intersection of black culture; including entertainment, entrepreneurship, tech, and politics Extensive knowledge of how to navigate and extract data from all major social platforms (instagram, facebook, twitter, snapchat, tiktok, youtube, etc.) Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Flexibility in working non-standard hours, when necessary
Talent sourcing and booking based on client and brand team recommendations for branded campaigns, conference speakers, and original content development Manage talent in our ciq database, and deliver talent recommendations in a creatoriq Manage all talent communications – initial campaign outreach, term and scope negotiations (following overall client and brand team recommendations, as provided) Contract execution - obtain talent/manager signatures via docusign on the talent contract; leveraging blavity's contract templates Manage a reconciled budget report per campaign, itemized by talent
Details: this is a full-time, remote position that may require intermittent travel and attendance to ad hoc meetings out of our dtla office.
