Position summary:
The opportunity
Asuragen, a bio-teche brand, is a global molecular diagnostics product and solutions company, we use our unique combination of proprietary chemistry and bioinformatics to develop products that address unmet needs for both clinical research and laboratoriesOur product portfolio is comprised of reagent kits for genetics and oncology applicationsThe territory sales manager – south atlantic (ga, nc, sc, tn) is responsible for sales execution and account management.
Key responsibilities:
Achieve and exceed annual territory goals and objectives
Work directly with large clinical reference labs, regional reference labs, university hospitals, and other targeted accounts within a specified region
Develop and execute a coherent business strategy to maximize efficiency in your territory
Skillfully articulate the value of our products to customers during face to face visits
Successfully asses trends, problems, and revenue opportunities
Respond to questions in real-time
Demonstrate the ability to forecast, maintain funnel management, and close deals
Develop relationships to sustain existing business and drive further market share penetration
Exhibit strong business and financial acumen and the ability to manage positive customer outcomes
Collaborate with a number of internal asuragen teams to ensure a positive customer experience
Prepare and track sales forecast for assigned products
Experience with crm tools and the ability to acclimate to a variety of it tools.
Ability to develop short term (3-6 months) and long term (2-3 year) strategic sales plans
Support company exhibitions at key north american meetings
Lead corporate presentations with key stakeholders with target accounts to promote asuragen
Remote job expectations include daily call management through zoom, email, phone calls, and digital resources.
Data mining and new contact management through linkedin navigator.
Managing go live process virtually with your scientific team by gating outlined next steps.
Weekly call in with regional sales manager to discuss salesforce funnel and miller heiman blue sheets for account strategy
Education and experience:
In depth understanding of the diagnostic testing market especially large clinical and reference labs
Understanding of large buying groups (gpo, idn and va)
Proven ability of effective written and verbal communication and listening skills
Detailed knowledge and executive relationships within the clinical lab market
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage remote employees
Strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction
Ability to effectively work on and manage many priorities at one time
Competent in the use of microsoft office (word, excel, powerpoint, and outlook) and use of the internet
Experience with sfdc
Highly driven with a strong motivation to succeed
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Ba / bs or equivalent
Minimum of five (5) years prior sales experience required in clinical diagnostics/ molecular diagnostics
Candidates with experience in selling ngs, molecular oncology or genetic assays highly desirable
Ability to manage a large territory and identify new growth opportunities
