Location: boston, ma, with the flexibility for remote work
The individual in this position will be responsible for driving sourcing, buying and transformational activities including the development of category strategies, systems and process integration as well as project/requisition execution for value creationThe position will be accountable for leading and assisting various procurement initiatives across the broad spectrum of commodities in financial industry spaceThe individual in this role will be responsible for fostering relationships with key stakeholders, establishing and prioritizing activities and working closely with the procurement leadership to achieve objectives and resultsAdditionally, this position will drive supply base rightsizing, implementation of new suppliers for specific categories, leading catalog creations, evaluation of systems and integration of industry best practicesThe position will work closely with other team members, key support departments and critical stakeholders across the company.
The individual in this role will be key in supporting procurement efforts toward continuous improvement, compliance, information synthesis and process efficiencies.
Build rapport while establishing key stakeholder and supplier relationships based on strategy, data, logic, integrity and transparency
Lead end-to-end procurement process from analysis through negotiating, contracting, and managing supplier performance while ensuring contract and regulatory compliance
Manage customer and supplier relationships to ensure that category strategies are aligned to the business needs
Facilitate strategic recommendations and drive business executions to achieve desired results
Drive development and review of specifications, statements of work, performance terms, and/or acceptance criteria
Conduct major rfx events and assists team in an organized evaluation and objective selection process
Review, modify and create statements of work “sow” to establish slas, key performance indicators and other requirements to ensure supplier performance and on-going tracking of all sows for related suppliers
Continuously improve supplier performance, specifically by supporting better reporting and collaboration for stronger accountability
Analyze the supply market and procurement data to support category strategies
Drive compliance with procurement policies and procedures
Interface and communicate with project team, management and stakeholders while providing support with respect to strategic sourcing/procurement processes and policies
Identify and manage projects to reduce costs, create value and improve efficiencies throughout the supply chain while ensuring continuity of supplies
Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one’s duties.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, operations, supply chain or comparable disciplines.
Industry certification is a plus
Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive experience and career advancement in procurement or comparable function
Experience and working knowledge of procurement systems and leading technology utilization
Demonstrated track-record of over-achieving goals,
Skills & knowledge:
High level of systems skills including administration, report writing and dashboarding
Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
Strong attention to details, with ability to drill down into very tactical considerations to ensure accuracy in deliverables
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Self-starter and autonomous, ability to multi-task, work independently, prioritize and get things done
Ability to balance changing priorities and deadlines
