Reports to: vp consumer lending
Location: remote within the berkshire bank footprint, with perodic travel to 6611 manlius center blvd, eSyracuse, ny
Performs a variety of clerical duties related to the processing administration and closing of consumer loansSets up new accounts, orders credit reports, etc.
Responsible for the efficient and timely flow of loan applications from the beginning to the end of the loan processInputs and processes loan applications; ensures all documents are completed and accurateObtains credit reports and any additional information needed to make a loan decisionMails, maintains and reviews adverse action notices for accuracyResponds to customer inquiries regarding loan rates, terms and policies and provides exemplary customer care at all times.
Performs basic file maintenance: inputs loan change information from customers, collections, originators and branch personnelCorrects / updates changes of address, interest rate and account errors to ensure accurate loan information.
Performs quality control review of system input for new consumer loans and processes loan modifications to computer system ensuring proper system performancePrepares collateral lien discharges for processing of loan payoffsIssues letters to customers on a timely basis in conformance with regulations.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all bank products and regulations (reg cc, reg e, bva, etc.) through participation in compliance and product training provided both internally and externallyPerforms other duties as assigned.
Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one’s duties.
The percentage of time spent on each accountability item fluctuates from day to day based on the loan volume.
High school diploma
1+ years of banking experience
Data entry experience
