We’re seeking a vice president of recruiting and account management to help keep our recruiting “engine” hummingThis is a chance to exercise your organizational and people skills, while interfacing with mission-driven startups and new technologies as you oversee the execution of challenging search assignmentsYour efforts will directly impact our ability to successfully fulfill our clients’ hiring needs.
You’d be working under the direct mentorship of an experienced executive, using a fresh, modern, high-integrity approach; leveraging our team of highly intelligent, professional recruiters and researchers to find and contact qualified target candidates.
Here’s the big picture of what you’re trying to accomplish in this job:
Manage and grow a team of 130 recruiters, researchers and admins;
Oversee and drive successful executive and technical search outcomes;
Continually drive and improve client satisfaction;
Continually improve the capabilities and job satisfaction of our team members;
Continually provide guidance to operations on how to build our processes and systems for sustainable growth and profitability;
Support the continual development of a company culture of excellence, respect, contribution and enjoyment.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Recruiting and research:
Directly manage and work closely with our team of 6 recruiters.
Grow and mentor the recruiting team as we continue to scale rapidly.
Oversee our overseas research organization, leveraging the director of research.
Oversee and report on our candidate sourcing and recruiting efforts in order to improve the overall effectiveness of our research team.
Oversee the optimal allocation of team members to projects as the projects begin and are completed.
Identify search efforts that need extra help and provide assistance by developing research strategies and troubleshooting operational and technical processes.
Oversee the development of operational systems to improve our team’s overall effectiveness, efficiency, and ability to scale with excellence.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients on a significant number of search projects.
Manage, mentor, and grow a team of senior recruiters who act as account managers.
Implement best practices of account management.
Attend initial client intake calls and help direct our research efforts as needed.
Meet with clients regularly; solicit their feedback and leverage team resources to address their concerns.
You’d be qualified for this role if:
You have at least 8-15+ years of experience in recruiting and/or sourcing engineers and executives for technology companies;
You have at least 5+ years of experience in account management for a recruiting firm;
You have experience managing people;
You’re friendly and upbeat, with strong communication and social skills;
You remain consistently organized in a fast-paced work environment;
You’re a strong writer;
You maintain a flexible, positive attitude in the face of challenges and uncertainty;
You’ve got a mature sense of judgment, and you gracefully navigate complex interpersonal situations;
You’re attentive to detail but you always keep the big picture in mind;
You have some interest in green technology;
You’re naturally inclined toward learning new skills and technologies;
You have decent familiarity with google spreadsheets; and
You’re excited about joining and helping to build a high-growth small business.
You’re able and willing to work pacific hours (9am to 6pm), plus some additional evening and weekend hours as needed.
You’re authorized to work for any employer in the us or canada.
Bonus points if you have:
Experience with project management or workflow process development;
Experience working in a technology company.
