The primary role of the national sales manager is to create and execute on a plan to drive sales growth within the specified accountsThe position will be required to forecast yearly sales and achieve a pre-determined budget each monthThe national sales manager will report directly to the director of b2b sales and will be accountable for communicating effectively any issues, problems, and requests from the determined list of accountsWhile the exact responsibilities will vary from company to company, the main duties of the national sales manager can be summarized as follows:
Responsible for creating and implementing the strategy to grow the strategic b2b accounts.
Establishing and fostering relationships with sales reps, regional directors, and merchants within each organization in order to grow the book of business.
Educating our strategic partners on flash furniture products through webinars, in office trainings (when available), and dispersing marketing materialsThe position is encouraged to join partners sales reps in selling in projects to large contracts.
Managing the e-commerce product assortment with each account and driving growth by adding new products, ensuring content is held to the high flash furniture standard, and working with each merchant on their yearly initiatives.
Developing a new account target list and tracking to add new customers within the b2b market.
Working with the director of b2b sales to implement organizational best practices for the b2b sales team.
Handling objections inside of the strategic accounts by clarifying the objection, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to come to a positive conclusion.
Providing feedback to management regarding client buying trends and growth patterns to determine account coverage needs.
The national sales manager will also be asked to participate in the following activities:
Attend industry/customer tradeshows and represent the company at these events
Events for recognition and team building.
Any additional activities that may arise within the organization not listed here.
Ecommerce sales and account management experience
3 years minimum sales experience
Experience using and logging data in a crm
Ability to thrive in a team environment, as well as act as individual contributor
Proficient in use of ms office applications (word, excel, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience
Professional approach and demonstration of business acumen
Understanding of sales and closing techniques
Experience with salesforce.com
Sales experience with outbound calls and selling strategies to close sales deals.
Knowledge of furniture industry including: office, rental, residential and public sector
Timely decision making
