In this hands-on development role, the email/front end web developer serves a critical role in bringing email and web page designs into production, bridging the design and back-end development teamsThe email/web developer is responsible for producing and optimizing intuitive, scalable and functional web interfaces for a variety of web-deployed marketing content in multiple marketing automation platforms such as marketo, hubspot, pardot, eloqua, and salesforce marketing cloud.
The email/web developer will build accessible, mobile-friendly marketing email templates; create scalable and maintainable email design systems; define best practices in email development; and contribute to email design ideation and decision makingCollaborating with a project lead, you will assist our clients determine the best course of action to meet their marketing initiatives and maintain continued communication with clients and a cross-functional team to provide status updates or request additional information when needed to meet your deliverables.
As there are several cities listed within this job description, we would consider candidates nationwide and able to work remote as long as willing to travel to client site as needed.
Develops responsive, mobile-friendly, cross-client/browser, and semantically accurate email and web page templates from mockups provided by the client in accordance with global accessibility, privacy, and compliance directives
Builds campaign assets and user interfaces that may include dynamic content, a/b testing, scripts for social media and/or tracking, personalization through tokens or field merges, forms, and other needs that may require specific scripting solutions
Runs litmus tests for emails, checking landing pages in all browsers, running tests on campaigns/programs, data capture, etc.
Incorporates lead generation and event web forms on landing pages hosted externally (e.g., wordpress, adobe experience manager, drupal, sitecore, etc.) or internal to the marketing automation platform (e.g., marketo, eloqua, hubspot cms, etc.)
Decomposes flat or layered files from photoshop, pdf, etcTo derive email/web page layouts, compatible images, form elements, and other components
Performs quality assurance testing to ensure appropriate segments, content, and submitted data are resulting in expected cases
Researches industry trends to ensure that standards and practices remain current and deliver the best email and online presence possible
Develops process flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
Partners with key marketing stakeholders to analyze, test, and launch email campaigns that drive response
Bachelor`s degree or six (6) or more years of experience in ux/ui design, analytics, ab testing and other digital marketing services including setting up campaigns within ma platform, required
With major in computer science, marketing or communications, preferred
Four (4) or more years’ experience with ux/ui design, analytics, a/b testing, and other digital marketing services including setting up campaigns within the ma platforms, required
Three (3) or more years’ experience in hand-editing responsive html email templates and templates compatible with all email clients and landing pages that may include forms that are cross-browser compatible, required
Some experience to test markup and code to ensure that it is valid, properly structured, meets industry standards and compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems, required
Some experience prodicing dynamic marketing campaign assets including emails, landing pages, and forms, required
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them, required
Familiarity with gdpr and other privacy or compliance laws or directives as they apply to collecting and processing data online, required
Working knowledge of adobe photoshop (and to a lesser extent illustrator) to edit supplied graphics or pdfs and occasionally create graphic design as requested by clients, preferred
Experience to translate project requirements and build appropriate solutions in marketing automation platforms, required
Knowledge of lead and data management, custom data, lead scoring, and analytics concepts, preferred
Experience with emberjs, reactjs, or angularjs, preferred
Velocity scripting in marketo, preferred
Amp scripting in salesforce marketing cloud, preferred
