About the role we are looking for empathetic and mindful engineers with a passion for childhood education and developmentYou will be a founding member of the team shipping the first version of our productAre you excited about making significant contributions to a product and growing your skills as an engineer in multiple areas, as well as contributing to the growth of those around you? if so, you’ll love our team!
What you`ll do
Work closely with the rest of the product team on user-facing features that delight parents and their school-aged children, solving an emotional and rewarding problem for our customers
Build backend logic and apis in support of product featuresOur stack is next.js written in typescript, querying a postgresql database via prisma orm.
Maintain ci and cd pipelines via github action
Manage usage of aws services including s3, rds, cloudformation
Write scripts and webhooks interfacing with / importing from third-party services
Proactively identify improvements to future-proof our codebase and unblock engineering efforts
What you`ll bring
5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Experience designing, optimizing, and working with relational databases
Experience configuring and deploying aws services
Experience integrating with payment systems such as stripe
Nice to have
Comfortable working across the stack on a consumer-facing product
Experience building applications supporting community features such as profiles, reviews, and comments
Experience with any of next.js, react, typescript, prisma, jest
Experience with google apis (e.gDrive, docs, sheets)
