Association headquarters is seeking a detail oriented senior cost accountantThe senior cost accountant works with leadership positions to deliver exceptional services for ah and clientsThe senior cost accountant serves as a `right hand` to the corporate accounting manager to help manage corporate projects and recurring tasksThe senior cost accountant has very strong excel skills including a skillset in v-lookups and pivot tables.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Be a role model for company values
Manages client contract process from creating contracts and integrating into various systems
Process contract changes, revenue reallocations, and billing adjustments
Ensure accurate invoices are sent to clients in a timely manner
Prepare weekly cash flow analysis and projections
Preform weekly integrations for vendor payments and corporate credit card activity
Perform bi-weekly payroll integrations
Perform monthly macro integrations for discounts and allocations
Troubleshoot and fix integration errors and variances
Manages and maintains ah and client`s merchant and bank accounts
Analyze and reconcile balance sheet and p&l accounts
Assist with monthly financial forecasting
Assist with preparing department financial statements and other ad hoc reporting
Assist with year-end audit
Actively seeks to identify and implement efficiencies in processes
Measurement of success
Successfully meets deadlines
Proactively alerts supervisors to challenges or concerns related to delivery of service
Proactively suggests solutions to challenges encountered
Effectively self-reviews work product and produced limited errors
Consistent implementation of ah’s best practices

Education / experience / required proficiencies
Bachelor`s degree required or a minimum of 5 years related industry experience.
Cost accounting background within a professional services organization
Proficient in microsoft office
Advanced excel skills (especially vlookup’s and pivot tables)
Ms dynamics accounting software – experience in project accounting module a significant advantage
Experience in a job costing environment
Experience with macros and integrations
