The construction industry is changing as cybersecurity and digitization make their way into a growing proportion of design processes and toolsAccompanying this change requires a knowledgeable industry professional to increase hid global’s specification sales opportunities with construction and security specifiers and develop our footprint with organization engaging in digitizing their specification processesThe actions of this position will result in hid global being a “trusted advisor” and creating pull-through sales of its hardware and cloud solutionsThe professional shall feel comfortable being the “voice of hid” in front of senior managers, decision makers and convey hid’s corporate vision and strategy.
What you will be doing
Identify construction projects (at design, retrofit or refurbishment stages) and specify hid global solutions to achieve yearly specified revenue target
Provide trainings on hid global’s solutions and where applicable trainings that provide certification points
Participate to assets development workgroups such as, but not limited to : newsletter, specification writing, hid academy content development, consultant trainings
Identify & understand key specifiers business operations and drive for business engagementThis role will have a focus on specifiers’ design tools such as, but not limited to, assa abloy openings studio.
Develop relationship with design tool providers in the territory such as, but not limited to, assa abloy openings studio, to ensure they hold a maintained database of hid global solutions.
Support assa abloy specification teams, or other equivalent organizationsThis includes training the specification teams, supplying and maintaining data, assessing projects and internal coordination with the hid teams
Support hid bim initiatives in the territoryThis includes coordinating bim activities and the creation and maintenance of hid bim solution sets.
Identify and share specifier needs and requirements with the hid global extended team, with a focus on digitization.
Participate to industry influencer focus groups & seminars to identify current and future access control industry needs identify and qualify relevant/local market needs for building and construction compliance
Maintain a high degree of product knowledge and industry trends
Attend applicable industry tradeshows, meetings, and other hid internal and external events, especially with focus on speaking and presentation opportunity.
Provide timely and accurate monthly status report of activities and progress using salesforce.
Cooperate with marketing for specifier focused tools: development of whitepapers, brochures, web presence, speaker engagements, specifier events.
What we are looking for
Understanding and experience of the construction and specifier markets, corporate culture, environment, and decision processes
Ability to effectively synthesize and simplify technical information and specifications
Effective communications skills with specifier corporate management and executive personnel.
Proficient knowledge of physical access control, building information modelling, and design solutions such as assa abloy openings studio, revit or others
Understanding of the construction industry design cycles and value chain
Understanding of door scheduling and specification
Certifications such as access control system consultant (acsc), cm-bim would be a plus
Experience with csi-formatting of specifications
