Summary of position
This position will be responsible for development of sales, including leads and opportunities for medium to large fabrications and machining work product in the united states and mexico.
The industry sector is “non-aerospace” (examples would be - oil & gas, agriculture, marine, mining, heavy industry, military & commercial automotive)
As a fabrication and machining expert, this individual will work directly with manufacturers and oem’s in servicing their fabrication & machining needs.
Sales territory – continental united states & mexico
Generate new business through understanding and promoting company fabrication and machining competencies.
Generate new leads and orders with all industrial-related manufacturers and oems who need fabrication and machining services with a focus on medium to large steel and aluminum applications, but also can include other materials.
Meet or exceed order goals
Coordinate sales efforts with other key account managers, estimators and manufacturing leads within company objectives and strategic goals.
Preparing, reviewing and submitting sales contracts and quotations.
Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs and promote products and services.
Answer client questions about credit terms, products, services, prices and availability.
Maintains, updates and builds client records.
Meet regularly with sales leadership and manufacturing specialist as appropriate to review sales activities and prospective projects.
Attend industry specific trade shows that drive brand awareness and further expand lead potential (i.eFabtech, etc)

Required skills, education & experience
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be consideredTypical qualifications would be:
Minimum high school diploma/ged required
3-5 years of experience in the fabrication and machining industry.
Experience and ability to understand fabrication and machining applications as well as major equipment solution applications
Strong communication, presentation and customer service skills
Proficiency with microsoft office (excel, word, powerpoint)
Able to establish, communicate, and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, or industrial management preferred
Prospecting skills and knowledge of market opportunities and competition
Strong negotiation skills
Ability to effectively handle tasks in a fast-paced environment and organizational skills
Has confidence in leading processes, projects and looks for opportunities
Ability to work with management team to help drive performance and diversity in portfolio
