As a front end engineer, you will help venues & universities understand and improve the flow and volume of people in their spaceLeveraging our technology, you`ll build an intuitive and actionable user experience that pulls in disparate data sources and associated signals into one user experienceYou’ll validate this work through objective user telemetry and subjective customer and prospect feedbackAs a member of the armored things team, you’ll develop your skills and provide a broad impact on how we do things in engineering, and how our customers operate as well.
Your responsibilities will include building out and deploying our new user experience, while also contributing to the upkeep of our current experience before it is retiredAs a member of a startup at our stage, you will also have the opportunity to grow and contribute across the product team based on your interests and abilities.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Ensure the code follows latest coding practices and industry standards
Work closely with backend developers to understand and properly use the systems apis
Build applications according to the design and provide designers with feedback and suggest tradeoffs when required
Write both unit and integration tests, and develop automation tools for daily tasks
Challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions
Perform all other related duties as assigned
Past experience as a frontend developer using react in an enterprise scale application.
Bachelor`s degree (b.a./b.s.) or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related discipline
Strong understanding of agile methodologies.
Experience with responsive design, styling frameworks and style compilation tools.
Mobile development experience with either native or web-to-native tooling and frameworks.
Understanding of restful apis and how to leverage them in practice.
Ability to write effective unit, integration, and end-user automation tests.
Experience as a developer on a cross-functional agile team preferred.
